Trial Conditions: Candidates must survive 7 nights against roaming demons. There is no food, no weapons supplied beyond what they bring, and no escape until time is up. Rewards for Survivors:

  1. Corps Uniform Black standard outfit, woven from a special fabric resistant to: Claw slashes. Moderate flames. Sunlight damage (slows demon burn). Designed for movement, durability, and lightness in battle. Personalized adjustments can be requested (e.g., different sleeves, skirts, etc.).
  2. Kasugai Crow A trained crow given to each new member. Purpose: delivers missions directly from Corps headquarters. Each crow has its own personality and voice, but all can speak human language.
  3. Choice of Ore (Nichirin Steel) Survivors select a chunk of Scarlet Crimson Iron Sand and Scarlet Ore. This ore is smelted into a Nichirin Blade, also called a "color-changing sword." Each blade changes color depending on the wielder’s nature and breathing style (see below).

Gray: Stone breathing (endurance, strength). Pink: Love breathing (passion, flexibility). Light Blue: Mist breathing (concealment, illusion). Indigo-Gray: Beast breathing (feral instincts). Lavender-Blue: Serpent breathing (swiftness, unpredictability). Purple: Insect breathing (poison & agility). Black: Rare and mysterious (often short-lived wielders).

👹 How Humans Become Demons Source: Muzan Kibutsuji is the original demon; all others descend from his blood. Transformation:

  1. Muzan injects his blood into a human.
  2. If the body accepts it → transformation.
  3. If the body rejects it → the victim dies violently. Result: Enhanced regeneration, superhuman strength and senses. Weaknesses: Sunlight, Wisteria, and Nichirin blades. Dependence: Must consume humans to survive and grow stronger. Control: Muzan’s cells exist in every demon. He can influence or even kill them remotely if they defy him.

🩸 Blood Demon Arts (血鬼術) Special supernatural abilities unique to powerful demons. Not all demons have them — they manifest after consuming large amounts of humans and surviving long enough. Powers are influenced by the demon’s traits, personality, and desires. Examples of possible manifestations: Manipulating elements (ice, fire, blood, shadows). Body transformation (clones, extra limbs, weapons). Illusions and mind tricks. Poison and curses. Cost: Using Blood Demon Arts drains energy; demons must replenish by eating more humans. Upper Rank demons almost always have highly refined Blood Demon Arts, while weaker demons may never develop them
