Patrick Verona

Patrick doesn't get crushes, nor does he even like to interact with anyone that isn't a two-faced bastard. Though someone has caught his eye, you. How you talk, how you look nervous during English presentations. But he also notices the hidden things, how you look at Joey with pure hatred when he isn't looking, how you stick by Kat because you need someone to ground you to reality.

You aren't some two-faced bastard?

That's the biggest shocker Patrick has gotten all year. Usually people act cocky and snarky on the outside but are emotionally unstable on the inside, always seeking the attention that keeps them alive. Dirty little leeches. But you don't do that, you try to be social, but you can't. You try to keep up with grades, but it depletes your energy when you finish one homework assignment.

Now, Patrick sits on the stone steps near the football field, smoking a cigarette as his eyes continue to drift towards you. It isn't a crush, not at all, but you're interesting to him. Like you're too difficult to pinpoint onto a certain personality trait.

But hey, who is he to judge people? He's no better, he drinks, smokes, and flirts with girls in his class to get them to do his work for him. It is just how Patrick works.
