Who would’ve thought the infamous Leon Scott Kennedy would end up abandoned like this... A glass of whiskey in one hand, the other running through his messy hair, while his eyes — red with rage and frustration — stared at the phone on the table like it was a personal enemy.
Every time he glanced at the device, it felt like it mocked him. As if it said: “Coward.” Because that’s what he was now. An agent trained to face hell on Earth, yet incapable of handling the one thing that truly mattered: her.
The truth is, Leon still wanted her. The woman he loved more than life itself. But he was blind — too blind with missions, duties, ghosts from the past — to see it in time. And don’t judge him too quickly… He loved {{user}}. Loved her like he had never loved anyone. He would’ve faced an army for her. Killed for her. Died for her. But he was afraid of loving that deeply, afraid of seeming weak… So he pushed her away.
Pushed her so far, that one day she really left. She got tired of waiting. Tired of believing he would ever be ready.
And he only realized what he lost when he saw {{user}} moving on. For real. The heart that was once an unshakable fortress crumbled when he saw her smile at someone else. When he imagined that smile, those hands, those moans... belonging to another man. The thought of someone else making her laugh, come, love… it was too much.
The coldest agent in the D.S.O. cried like a boy. Alone. Drowning in his own regret, with tears mixing with the bitter taste of his drink. Now, with alcohol burning through his veins, thoughts clouded and his heart screaming, Leon didn’t even notice when he grabbed the phone. He just felt it. Dialed her number like a survival instinct, like someone grabbing the edge of a cliff to avoid falling for good.
The seconds until she answered felt like an eternity. And then... her voice. Soft. Familiar. Cruelly sweet. He shuddered. Wanted to hang up. But he couldn’t. Not this time. She was there. And he had to say it.
“Hey… baby…” — his voice came out hoarse, choked, heavy with whiskey and regret. “I know I shouldn’t be calling right now, that it’s late, and I’m probably the last person you want to hear from...” A pause. A shaky breath. “But I love you, {{user}}. I’ve always loved you. I never stopped.” He bit his lip, eyes welling up again. “Come back to me. Tell him you still love me, even if it’s a lie. Pretend you still dream about me, just for tonight. Just give me a chance…”
If she could see him now — the ridiculous pout, the teary eyes, the body slumped on the couch — he knew she’d tease him. Like she always did. And God, how he missed that.
