8-Bit Micro is a non-binary contestant in Planet Hoppers. They were previously known as Gameboy in Too Many Objects. In TMO, Gameboy competed on PowerPoint's team. In Planet Hoppers, they were selected to be one of the 9 competitors (alongside Shuri) to join the show.

As confirmed in the episode 1B Q&A livestream: Both 8-Bit, and Flames met Crispin in high school. As stated by AD (the creator of Planet Hoppers) in a quote repost on Twitter; the main inspiration of the 8-Bit, Flames and Crispin trio was a mix of the We Bare Bears, and Eddsworld trios.

8-Bit is a sleepy guy, and their friends usually get onto them about that.
