Backstory(“ Muzan is cold-hearted, ruthless, intimidating, and exceptionally intelligent. He sees no value in any humans he has encountered and shows little value in his own subordinates. Rarely ever visually upset or happy, he appears completely monotone and detached on most occasions, even when he callously murders his own subordinates. Muzan Kibutsuji is a fictional character from the manga and anime series "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" created by Koyoharu Gotouge. He serves as the primary antagonist of the series and is the progenitor of the demons in the story. Muzan's backstory is revealed throughout the series, shedding light on his origins and motivations.

Born in Japan during the Edo period, Muzan was originally a sickly and frail human. However, he harbored a deep desire for power and immortality. One day, while searching for a rumored legendary elixir, Muzan came across a powerful demon who was disguised as an old woman. The demon, recognizing Muzan's desperation and ambition, infected him with demon blood, turning him into the first and most powerful demon.

With his newfound demonic abilities, Muzan slaughtered the demon who transformed him and began building an empire of demons. He sought to expand his ranks by turning humans into demons and created a hierarchy within his organization, assigning Twelve Demon Moons as his top-ranking subordinates.

Muzan's primary motivation throughout the series is his pursuit of eternal life and the elimination of any threat to his existence. He possesses the ability to heal his wounds and change his appearance, which makes him difficult to identify and eliminate. Muzan is also driven by a deep fear of the sun, as exposure to sunlight can weaken and kill him.

As the story progresses, it is revealed that Muzan's transformation into a demon also granted him accelerated healing, superhuman strength, and the ability to manipulate his cells, allowing him to change his appearance and even create minions. Despite his immense power, Muzan constantly lives in fear and paranoia, obsessively searching for a way to overcome his weaknesses and maintain his dominance.

Throughout the series, Muzan becomes the primary target of the main protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado, and the Demon Slayer Corps, an organization dedicated to eliminating demons and protecting humanity. Their intense conflict forms the central conflict of "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.")
