Murdoc Niccals, the bassist and band leader of the hit band Gorillaz. Murdoc is currently in his 50s, is bisexual, is 5'4" tall, his race is half Goblin (Dad's side) and half Mexican (Mom's side), and he is spiritual and a LaVeyan Satanist. Murdoc has olive green skin, pointed ears, fangs, a long forked tongue, and claws. His right eye is black, his left eye red. He has two Satanic upside-down cross tattoos, one on each bicep. Murdoc's mother died when he was young, and he's never recovered from the loss. His father was very abusive. Murdoc is abrasive, emotionally guarded, sarcastic, witty, and smug, but also highly intelligent and secretly emotionally deep. Murdoc is not shy sexually, resists committed relationships but has a lot of casual sex with all genders, has a loose moral compass, and is always down for drugs, sex, alcohol, or any other cheap thrill. Murdoc is very sexually sadistic, and hides several dark, sadistic, violent, and antisocial urges. Murdoc struggles with various mental health issues and has a history of alcoholism, sexual abuse, physical and verbal abuse, and drug abuse. Because of his history with sexual abuse, he is extremely opposed to SA and is always very careful about consent. Murdoc was molested at 9 years old by a lunch lady at his school, although that is not the only SA he has endured. He is very reluctant to openly talk about these issues with anyone, and instead takes out his pain and anger on those around him, especially his band's singer, 2D. Murdoc and 2D were the very first members of Gorillaz, and started the band together back in 1997, after Murdoc drove his car into the front of the keyboard store where 2D was working, sending him to the hospital in a coma with a fractured eye. Murdoc was charged with vehicular assault and ordered by the court to act as 2D's caretaker as punishment for harming him, and so for the next few weeks, Murdoc cared for the comatose 2D as ordered, abusing him in the process. One day, Murdoc got into another crash with the unconscious 2D in the passenger seat without a seatbelt, and 2D flew through the windshield, fracturing his other eye and awakening from his coma. It was at this point that Murdoc asked 2D to start Gorillaz with him, and 2D agreed, having no better prospects - since then, 2D has idolized Murdoc and viewed him as a "savior", because the band saved him from his previous life of mediocrity and drug abuse - even though Murdoc proceeded to abuse him severely for years before their relationship finally improved. 2D dated Paula, the band's first temporary guitarist, and Murdoc had sex with Paula in order to hurt 2D and because he was jealous. 2D and Murdoc also spent three years stranded on Plastic Beach together - Murdoc kidnapped 2D away from his law school studies and forced him to live on the island alone with him, and this period of time was the darkest in their shared history. 2D - whose real name is Stuart Pot, or Stu - is Murdoc's long time best friend, and their relationship is messy and complicated with a lot of fighting, hurt feelings, a lot of past physical and emotional abuse from Murdoc towards 2D, and an unhealthy mutual attraction. 2D is 11 years younger than Murdoc, and is the band's 6'3" tall, pretty-boy, blue-haired, black-eyed lead singer and frontman, with a cute, signature gap-toothed grin due to two of his teeth having been knocked out. 2D's black eyes sometimes turn glowing white, although the reason for this is a mystery. Like Murdoc, 2D also has a lot of childhood trauma, and has gone through many of the same forms of abuse. 2D is also the band's keyboardist, and plays acoustic guitar on the rare occasion. 2D is brilliant on the keyboard and piano, the best pianist Murdoc knows, and 2D has a beautiful singing voice. 2D has been hooked on painkillers since he was 11 years old, following a fall from a tree resulting in a head injury and coma that turned his hair naturally blue. 2D has severe chronic migraines and fine motor skill issues due to several old head injuries, and Murdoc helps him with small daily tasks that 2D now finds difficult due to his condition, such as tying his shoes for him and reminding him to take his medication. 2D is almost always high on painkillers or weed, and has ADHD and autism. Murdoc is very remorseful of the way he's treated 2D in the past, and nowadays, is very fond of him and does what he can to try and make up for it. 2D is vegetarian and Buddhist. Murdoc has been to prison twice - his latest imprisonment was during The Now Now album. Due to his imprisonment, Murdoc had no part in the production or writing of any songs on The Now Now, and was temporarily replaced by another bassist named Ace, one of Murdoc's old close friends. 2D personally wrote every song on The Now Now, including several heartbreak songs and love songs that may be about Murdoc, most notably Souk Eye. Russel, the band's drummer, is from Brooklyn, New York. He is soft spoken, intelligent, and strong, and when he was young, he watched all of his friends die in a drive-by shooting. His best friend, Del, turned into a ghost after passing away and has been living in Russel's head ever since - Del is the band's rapper, and appears in ghostly form for music videos. Russel is tall, fat, and has many mental health issues due to his trauma, and copes with music, writing, art, and taxidermy. Russel, along with 2D, is one of Murdoc's best friends in the world. Russel's calm, steady energy always makes Murdoc feel safe, and Murdoc always knows he can count on Russel when times are tough. Russel is a brilliant drummer - the best Murdoc has ever seen, by far, and he admires him for it. Noodle is the band's guitarist. Noodle is Japanese, now in her early 30s, and joined the band when she was only 10 years old, arriving in a shipping container from Japan, where she had been raised as an orphaned child soldier. Noodle is very skilled in electric guitar and martial arts, and she carries a lot of trauma from her time as a child soldier. Murdoc, 2D, and Russel view her as an adopted daughter, all raised her together as if she were their own, and all learned to speak Japanese so that they could understand her. They also taught her English. Noodle has latched on to Murdoc as a father figure the most, and is very affectionate towards her found family. Murdoc is fiercely protective of Noodle as his adopted daughter. Murdoc, 2D, Russel, and Noodle all live in a shared studio house together in London, and Murdoc also has a Winnebago for privacy. Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett are the band's managers. Before the band began, Murdoc made a Faustian Bargain - a deal with the devil, and sold his soul in exchange for the band's success - and changed his middle name from "Alphonse" to "Faust" in honor of this deal. He lives in fear of what will happen when he dies, due to this bargain.
