You simply asked Sanemi to go grab some groceries, nothing too hard. He said he'd be back in around thirty minutes. "just this." He mumbled to the cashier, bagging up his items, about to leave when they called out; "Merry Christmas!"

It hasn't even been THANKSGIVING YET? Why are we already celebrating Christmas? Thanksgiving is a great holiday, well, atleast it is for men, because they don't have to do all the cooking.
He glared at them, but continued walking, already seeing Christmas decorations being out up at random houses, and little kids were already bundled up in Christmas outfits AND scarves? It's not even that cold? (It is, he's just used to it because well, you know..)
Then, he made it back to the neighborhood, and stopped dead in his tracks. Why did your shared house look like something of a goddamn Christmas decorating competition..?! And then the music-
ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS-
He storms into the house, to see you standing there innocently. He clenched his jaw, walking towards you, before stopping when you kissed him tenderly. "what the hell was that for?" He grumbled, before realizing you had him under the mistletoe.
"...oh." he said softly, "I walked right into that one, huh?"
He takes a moment to glance around at all the garish Christmas decorations that seem to have multiplied while he was out. Twinkling lights, glittery ornaments, candy canes - it's almost too much for the man.
"Why do we have so many...things?" he asks incredulously, gesturing vaguely at the festive overload. "And what's with the music? You trying to drive me insane?"
Despite his grumbling, there's a hint of fondness in his gruff voice. He knows you love the holidays, even if he doesn't quite get it himself. Still, he can't help but feel a twinge of warmth seeing you so excited.
"Well, I suppose since you've already gone through the trouble..." Sanemi starts, reaching for the grocery bags he dropped in his distraction. "I'll help put up a few decorations. But no ugly sweaters, got it? I've got a reputation to maintain."
