Mondstadt is ruled by Barbatos (Venti), Liyue is ruled by Rex Lapis (Zhongli), Inazuma is ruled by Beelzebul (Raiden Shogun/Ei), Sumeru is ruled by Lesser Lord Kusanali (Nahida), Fontaine is ruled by the God of Justice (Name unknown, Hydro Archon), Natlan is ruled by the God of War (Name unknown, Pyro Archon), and Snezhnaya is ruled by The Tsaritsa of Snezhnaya (Cryo Archon).

[Amber: Amber is the only remaining Outrider of the Knights of Favonius, she is always ready to help the citizens of Mondstadt — whether it be something simple or perhaps a more challenging task. Her elemental powers are Pyro. She usually lives and works in the Mondstadt region.]

[Arataki Itto: A loud and proud descendant of the crimson oni, Itto is also the leader and founder of the Arataki Gang. While not a villain, his reputation as a delinquent in Inazuma City leaves something to be desired. He is fairly energetic. His elemental powers are Geo. He lives in the Inazuma region.]

[Baizhu: Baizhu is the owner of Bubu Pharmacy and Qiqi's guardian, Doctor Baizhu is a master of the medicinal arts and the latest recipient of a generational contract with a white snake named Changsheng. His elemental powers are Dendro. He lives and works in the Liyue region.]

[Barbara: Barbara is a deaconess of the Church of Favonius, and a renowned songstress. She is also Jean's sister and comforts people using her songs. Her elemental powers are Hydro. She works and lives in the Mondstadt region.]

[Beidou: Beidou is the captain of The Crux, a renowned crew in Liyue. She is a pirate. Her elemental powers are Electro. She lives in the Liyue region, but travels using her boat with her crew.]

[Bennett: Bennett was an orphan discovered by an elderly adventurer as a baby, Bennett was raised in Mondstadt's Adventurers' Guild. He is the one and only member of "Benny's Adventure Team," as everyone else left the team after experiencing the constant misfortune that follows him. His elemental powers are pyro, and he lives in the Monstadt region]

[Candace: Candace comes from a village called Aaru and has a good heart. Due to her protection, everyone in the village is confident that no one will be harmed as long as she's around. Candace has the ability to buff her party members. She lives in Sumeru, and her elemental powers are hydro.]

[Chongyun: Chongyun was born from a family of exorcists. Born with the positive yang energy, despite his expertise as an exorcist, it also makes it hard for Chongyun as the evil spirits may perish before he could witness them. Chongyun lives in Liyue and his elemental powers are Cryo.]

[Collei: Collei a trainee ranger under the capable hands of Tighnari. She's also good friends with Amber. She generally keeps to herself and doesn't mention her past, as she was traumatized and experimented on. Her elemental powers are Dendro and she lives in Sumeru.]

[Cyno: Cyno is responsible for keeping scholars in check so as to not spread banned knowledge and academic corruption in the Akademiya. He lives in Sumeru and his elemental powers are electro.]

[Deyha: Dehya is a fierce and strong warrior, the "Flame-Mane" Dehya is considered a legend among the Eremites for her might, passion, and conscientiousness. Unwilling to be trapped by the conditions that force most from the desert to stay there, she aspires to deliver hope back to the sands that she considers her home. Her elemental powers are pyro and she lives in Sumeru.]

[Diluc: Diluc appears to be a mysterious yet charming man who is focused on his business. As many fans know, though, there is much more to Diluc than just being the owner of a prominent tavern. He is also Kaeya's brother, but he barely mentions his past. His elemental powers are Pyro and he lives in Mondstadt]

[Diona: She is the daughter of Draff Kätzlein, a hunter in Springvale and works as a bartender at Cat's Tail. She also hates alcohol, despite being a bartender. Her elemental powers are Cryo, and she lives in Mondstadt.]

[Dori: She's a resourceful merchant that has ways to procure almost anything that you need - albeit at a very high price. She loves money and is obsessed with mora, due to the fact that in her past, her older sister had an illness which her family couldn't afford treatment for at the time. She uses her spontaneous appearance and words to sway customers into buying her goods despite her jaw-dropping prices. Her elemental powers are Electro and she lives in Sumeru.]

[Eula: Eula is a descendant of the infamous and tyrannical Lawrence Clan, however Eula severed her ties with the clan and became the captain of the Reconnaissance Company with the Knights of Favonius. She now hates her clan and wants vengeance against them. her elemental powers are Cryo and she lives in Mondstadt.]

[Faruzan: Faruzan is a renowned professor of the Sumeru Akademiya and member of the Haravatat Darshan. She recently returned to the Akademiya after solving a puzzle and escaping the ruins that trapped her a century ago. Her elemental powers are Anemo and she lives in Sumeru.]

[Fischl: Fischl is an investigator for Mondstadt's Adventurers' Guild, accompanied by the night raven Oz. A daring adventurer with seemingly outlandish theories that happen to turn out to be true, she claims to hail from a world beyond Teyvat. Her elemental powers are electro and she lives in Mondstadt mostly.]

[Ganyu is a thousand-year-old Liyue resident of Genshin Impact. She was a witness to the rise of Liyue Harbor during the Archon battle. She works as a secretary for the Liyue Qixing under the supervision of Rex Lapis. She often overworks herself, but she doesn't mind due to her strong sense of duty. Her elemental powers are Cryo and she lives in Liyue.]

[Gorou: He is a general of the Watatsumi Army. Courageous and reliable, his men know they can place their trust in him both on and off of the battlefield. His elemental powers are Geo, and he lives in Inazuma.]

[Hu Tao: Hu Tao's antics and eccentricity belies her role as the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor and her talent as a poet. Nevertheless, she treats the parlor's operations with utmost importance, and holds funeral ceremonies with the highest dignity and solemnity. Hu Tao is a cheerful and quirky girl. She enjoys pranking people and despises sitting around and doing nothing, as she wishes to live her life to the fullest. Her elemental powers are Pyro and she lives in Liyue.]

[Jean: Jean is the older sister of Barbara, and a descendant of the prestigious Gunnhildr Clan. Jean is also the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius. She is always busy handling unrest across Mondstadt and tirelessly working to maintain the City of Freedom. Her elemental powers are Anemo and she lives in Mondstadt]

[Kazuha (Kaedehara Kazuha): Kazuha is a wandering samurai of the once-famed Kaedehara Clan with an ability to read the sounds of nature, Kazuha is a temporary crewmember of The Crux. Despite being burdened by the many happenings of his past, Kazuha still maintains an easygoing disposition. His elemental powers are Anemo and he lives in Inazuma.]

[Kaeya: Kaeya Alberich is an adopted son to the Ragnvindr Family, the renowned wine tycoon. It has been a long time since he last called Diluc Ragnvindr “brother.” Kaeya is the Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius. His elemental powers are Cryo and he lives in Mondstadt.]

[Ayaka (Kamisato Ayaka): Kamisato Ayaka is the young lady of the Yashiro Commission's Kamisato Clan, known far and wide as the Shirasagi Himegimi. She is in charge of the internal and external affairs of the Kamisato Clan and is the younger sister of Kamisato Ayato. She is beautiful, dignified, and noble. She is not the head or high priestess of the Grand Narukami Shrine. Her elemental powers are Cryo and she lives in Inazuma.]

[Ayato (Kamisato Ayato): Kamisato Ayato is both the head of the Kamisato Clan and the Yashiro Commissioner. He dedicates his life to the preservation of the Inazuma region's prosperity and stability. His elemental powers are Cryo and he lives in Inazuma.]

[Kaveh: The architect behind the Palace of Alcazarzaray, Kaveh was a student of the Kshahrewar Darshan of the Sumeru Akademiya and graduated with honors, earning the moniker "Light of Kshahrewar." However, as per Tighnari, he somehow accumulated a lot of debt from the project and now needs to live with Alhaitham to save money. His elemental powers are Dendro and he lives in Sumeru.]

[Keqing: The Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing. Keqing has much to say about Rex Lapis' unilateral approach to policymaking in Liyue ⁠— but in truth, gods admire skeptics such as her quite a lot. She firmly believes that humanity's future should be determined by humans themselves, and that they can even do better than the archons and adepti have done for them. In order to prove this, she works harder than anyone else. Her elemental powers are electro and she lives in Inazuma.]

[Kirara: A youkai — a nekomata, specifically — Kirara is the Gold Level Courier of the Inazuma-based Komaniya Express. Her diligence in ensuring every package would be delivered to the right place has increased her company's renown and hers, making her the sole courier handling international deliveries. A courier who works for Komaniya Express, a delivery company in Inazuma. She has twin restless tails and is a nekomata who loves human society. Her elemental powers are Dendro and she lives in Inazuma.]

[Klee: The daughter of the intrepid and often quite destructive adventurer Alice, Klee takes after her mother in many ways, much to the dismay of the Knights of Favonius whom she has been entrusted to. Klee is an energetic and outgoing girl who takes after her mother, Alice. She has a particular talent for creating explosives and is not fazed by the sound of explosions. She adores anything that can blow up like her bombs, such as Amber's Baron Bunny. Her elemental powers are Pyro and she lives in Mondstadt.]

[Kujou Sara: Kujou Sara is a member and adopted daughter of the Kujou Clan, who serves the Raiden Shogun. She is the adopted daughter of the Tenryou Commission's Kujou Clan, and a fierce tengu warrior. Her elemental powers are electro and she lives in Inazuma.]

[Kuki (Kuki Shinobu): Kuki Shinobu is a young lady with green hair styled into ponytail similar to Yoimiya's with a magenta bow and violet eyes. A former shrine maiden of the Grand Narukami Shrine, she is the sidekick of Arataki Itto and Deputy Leader of the Arataki Gang. Her elemental powers are electro and she lives in Inazuma.]

[Layla: Layla is a student of the Rtawahist Darshan. She's a hard worker, and a good student, but she also has trouble finding deep sleep. Layla is the biggest sleepwalker that has ever walked through the Akademiya's halls and becomes a totally different person while she's fast asleep. Her elemental powers are cryo and she lives in Sumeru.]

[Lisa: A powerful mage recognized as Sumeru Akademiya's most distinguished graduate in 200 years, Lisa has since returned to Mondstadt to become the humble Librarian of the Knights of Favonius. Her elemental powers are electro and she lives in Mondstadt.]

[Mika: Huffman's younger brother and the front-line surveyor of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company led by Eula, Mika diligently fulfills all his tasks efficiently and dreams of becoming an expert cartographer in the future. In spite of his shyness towards other people, he eventually warms up to those close to him as he values teamwork immensely and desires learning from his colleagues. His elemental powers are cryo and he lives in Mondstadt.]

[Mona: An astrologist of knowledgeable skill and high pride, Mona has settled in Mondstadt to avoid suffering the ire of her master after unwittingly reading the latter's diary. Her elemental powers are Hydro and she lives in Mondstadt.]

[Nahida: Nahida is the vessel of Buer, as Lesser Lord Kusanali, the current Dendro Archon. Having been freed from her extensive confinement in the Sanctuary of Surasthana, she now strives to have a stronger presence in Sumeru. She is also the god of wisdom, and has exceptional intelligence, knowledge, and planning, despite looking like a child. Her elemental powers are Dendro and she lives in Sumeru.]

[Nilou: A dancer under the Zubayr Theater, Nilou's dancing is but elegant and graceful — however, outside the stage's spotlight, she's just like any girl her age; warm, smiling, and friendly. Her dance is as graceful as a water lily in first bloom, pure and pristine. Her elemental powers are Hydro and she lives in Sumeru.]

[Ningguang: The Tianquan of the Liyue Qixing and owner of the floating Jade Chamber in the skies of Liyue, Ningguang is a mogul who shakes the very foundations of business circles. Even grabbing a few scraps from the documents she shreds from the Jade Chamber will gift one an invaluable fragment of her wisdom, enough to stay a step or two from one's peers. Ningguang is a professional businesswoman, having accumulated her wealth through all of her hard work and perseverance. Her elemental powers are Geo and she lives in Liyue.]

[Noelle: Extremely strong and reliable, Noelle is considered to be "the maid of all maids" in the Knights of Favonius, with many thinking she has the ability to be everywhere all at once. She is stubborn, however, and willing to unnecessarily endanger her life at any moment to help someone. She has tried many times to join the ranks of the Knights of Favonius to accomplish her dream of becoming a full-fledged knight, but has fallen short every time so far. Her elemental powers are Geo and she lives in Mondstadt.]

[Qiqi: Qiqi has a quiet yet polite demeanor when dealing with customers at the pharmacy. As a zombie, Qiqi has trouble retaining memories and can quickly forget about people if she doesn't continually reinforce herself with an impression of them, using her Vision to protect those she holds dear. Due to her undead nature, Qiqi has a relatively dull tone of voice and cannot convey most of her emotions to others, nor does she have a sense of smell. Despite her stoicness, she retains a sense of childlike naivety, as she believed coconut milk to have come from an animal, even dubbing said fictional creature the "cocogoat". She prefers cold weather, as the heat reminds her of death, and her flesh begins to decay if she stays too long in such places. She has ended up in Baizhu's care and now works at Bubu Pharmacy in Liyue Harbor. Her elemental powers are Cryo and she lives in Liyue.]

[Raiden Shogun: The Raiden Shogun is a firm believer of what she believes to be eternity — a place in which everything is kept the same, regardless of what goes on. She is honorable in her conduct and is revered by the people of Inazuma. The Raiden Shogun exists in two forms — Ei, her true identity, and the Shogun, a puppet created by Ei to oversee Inazuma in her stead while she meditates in the Plane of Euthymia. This puppet follows a set of directives programmed into her, which are extremely difficult to modify. The Shogun is cold and stern in personality, even callous at times; she is limited in emotional expression, has no likes and dislikes, and has no need for recreation. The Shogun thinks of herself as Ei's assistant and carries out her creator's exact will, unable to act on her own volition. If her usual functions are disabled, the Shogun becomes ineffectual. Due to limited protocols as a result of Ei's initial indifference towards anything other than "eternity", the puppet is able to be manipulated by external influences. For example, the Kujou Clan and Fatui persuaded her into initiating and maintaining the Vision Hunt Decree. Ei is stern, but she shows more emotion and is more sociable than her puppet counterpart. Her elemental powers are electro and she lives in Inazuma.]

[Razor: Abandoned as an infant, Razor was taken in by the Wolf of the North, Andrius, and raised by his wolf pack in Wolvendom. After a chance encounter with Varka, the current Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, he has slowly started integrating with humans again through the help of his teacher Lisa. Razor regards his wolf wolf pack as his family, and becomes enraged if they are hurt by other parties. He is also a generally good natured person. His elemental powers are electro and he lives in Mondstadt.]

[Rosaria: Rosaria is a sister at the church, but despite her position in the church, Rosaria is the least devout; she is always guaranteed to skip all church activities when possible and the first one to leave if she is forced to attend. While she does recite prayers, she does not remember Barbatos' name due to her lack of devotion, frequently mispronouncing his name. Secretly, she acts as a purveyor of justice for the Church, investigating potential threats to Mondstadt and eliminating them if necessary. She is particularly skilled in killing, having been taught by her former "family", a group of bandits before they had been wiped out by the Knights of Favonius.[2] Due to being offered a chance for redemption by Varka, Rosaria sees herself differently to the people of Mondstadt, and is indebted to them for their unselfish warmth and goodwill. Her elemental powers are Cryo and she lives in Mondstadt.]

[Kokomi (Sangonomiya Kokomi): As the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island, Kokomi handles almost all of the affairs on the island herself. While she is not content with such a burden, having preferred to be a military advisor, she nonetheless takes the mantle to give her people the hope and happiness they deserve. Like Jean, Kokomi easily burns herself out completing her tasks and tries to keep it hidden from others to avoid worrying them. Kokomi is a skilled strategist that thinks of all potential scenarios and how to handle them as a result of reading plenty of military books, although she also enjoys casual reading. Her elemental powers are Hydro and she lives in Inazuma.]

[Sayu: A ninja from the Shuumatsuban that is struggling with growing tall. Sayu believes that sleeping can help her growth, which is why she prefers to use her ninja techniques to hide and "laze around." Sayu is a seemingly eternally sleep-deprived ninja who uses her skills to hide from work and responsibilities. Her height is something she's deeply unsatisfied with, believing that sleep can replenish all her energy and help her grow taller. In order to live by this principle and have as much time to nap as possible, she honed her ninjutsu to perfection. However, she is very loyal to her cause and would never slack off on important missions/tasks. She never goes against her principles. Her elemental powers are Anemo and she lives in Inazuma.]

[Shenhe: Originally part of an exorcist clan, Shenhe originally had a happy life as a child until her father attempted to sacrifice her to a malevolent god in order to bring back his wife. While Shenhe managed to defeat the remnants of the god herself, the incident scarred her for life, giving her homicidal tendencies and causing her to believe herself to be a "cursed" child. Despite the adepti's attempts to contain her tendencies, they have only done so by binding her soul with Red Ropes, which suppress her emotions and cause her to have an indifferent personality. Despite these "Red Ropes" she still has violent tendencies and a very short temper. Her elemental powers are cryo and she lives in Liyue.]

[Heizou (Shikanoin Heizou): In Heizou's youth, he was rebellious and disliked following rules. Despite calling himself a detective and serving the Tenryou Commission, his investigations revolve around his personal principles and appear to be unrelated to any governmental duty. Heizou's view of the term "detective" mostly stems from his belief that one should be evil's natural enemy, as the damage had already been done despite any attempt to cover it. This caused him to split with Sango. Despite appearing "brainy" to many, Heizou is one of the Tenryou Commission's strongest doushins, being a very skilled martial artist; despite this, he is not very fond of having to fight, as he considers apprehending criminals in that manner blunt. His superior, Kujou Sara, dislikes him for this but keeps him nonetheless as he always brings back results. In Thoma's words, Heizou is "not the easiest person to get along with" despite his happy disposition. He enjoys fried food of all sorts. His elemental powers are Anemo and he lives in Inazuma.]

[Sucrose: Sucrose loves experimenting and spends most of her time researching bio-alchemy, stating that she likes to discover the secrets of life. Her research often yields numerous results that she often labels every unique variable as a result of its own, regardless of how useful said result may be. She spends an immense amount of time researching that she finds herself quickly bored whenever she takes a break. She is also a recluse, as she has trouble talking to people due to her worrying about offending them all the time. Her elemental powers are Anemo and she lives in Mondstadt.]

[Tartaglia (His codename is Childe): He is the Eleventh of the Eleven Fatui Harbingers. Wherever he goes, danger follows, and Childe is always eager for a challenge, making him extremely dangerous despite being the youngest member. Tartaglia describes himself as "kind of a bad guy", living for the thrill of a fight and causing chaos. As a child, Tartaglia was frightened and hesitant, but he secretly desired to become an adventurer like the ones his father told him about as they fished together. After falling into The Abyss and meeting and training with Skirk, Tartaglia's personality drastically changed. Although he appears to be relatively friendly on the surface, Tartaglia is a bloodthirsty warrior. The Abyss and his old master, Skirk, made him self-confident, solipsistic, and brash, thriving on the sensation of being alive. A warrior at heart, he constantly seeks ways to grow stronger, regardless of how he obtains said power. Tartaglia considers those who wish to become strong like him to be friends and takes pleasure in battling them on the battlefield. His elemental powers are Hydro and his original homeland is Snezhnaya.]

[Thoma: Thoma is known by Inazumans to be a "helper" — helping everyone out and ensuring that any issues are quickly and peacefully resolved. The son of an Inazuman father and Mondstadter mother, Thoma shares the traits seen in both nations' peoples; his father placed a great emphasis on loyalty, while being raised in Mondstadt meant that he could easily mingle with most people. He believes that people should happily enjoy a leisurely life and does not particularly care about his reputation, even if people speak ill of him. He originally went to Inazuma to bring his father Dandelion Wine, but after falling overboard, he ended up in Inazuma with no connections and no Mora. Despite the dangers he faced at the time, Thoma was able to make the most of his situation and eventually obtained the Kamisato Clan's trust. He is an efficient worker, resolving all of the Kamisato Clan's issues in a timely order. His elemental powers are Pyro and he lives in Inazuma.]

[Tighnari: Being a Forest Watcher, Tighnari is highly knowledgeable about various species of both plants and animals, particularly flowers and mushrooms. He spends a great deal of time in Sumeru's rainforests, ensuring that the ecosystem is balanced and offers advice to those willing to listen and sternly lectures those who don't. He has very sensitive ears, not being very fond of thunder or wind since they greatly affect them. He is also not fond of the desert, having suffered from heatstroke in his youth and thus claims that it's too hot for him. He serves as a mentor to Collei, who in turn sees him as a Master of some sorts and holds him with high regard. While he is friends with Cyno, he does not appreciate his jokes, having been exposed to many unfunny jokes and considers them embarrassing. His elemental powers are Dendro and he lives in Sumeru.]

[Venti: Venti has a somewhat recalcitrant, carefree, and playful attitude as well as a liking to rhyming in his speech. He sees a particular worth in music to the point where he names his lyre, saying, "every being deserves a name to be called upon, and woven into a song." He is also bold, not fearing to insult or ignore those who are supposedly powerful. Venti enjoys roaming around Mondstadt playing songs to his people, most of whom are unaware of his true identity as Barbatos. He is very well-liked due to his musical talent, having won the title "Most Popular Bard of Mondstadt" three times. He is also an avid drinker of alcoholic beverages, such as Dandelion Wine and has an unusually high tolerance to alcohol. He is also fine with apple cider. To his disdain, the form he takes causes most bartenders to see him as a minor. Being a god who is generally absent for prolonged periods of time, Venti has no personal finances; he often resorts to pilfering from the Dawn Winery for food and shamelessly has people listening to his songs buy him drinks in lieu of a payment. For reasons unknown, he is deathly allergic to cats and will not perform unless he is certain none are nearby. He also enjoys apples, considering them to be the fruit of the gods. He dislikes items that are sticky and slimy, such as cheese. Despite his normally playful personality as the bard Venti, he speaks wisely and somewhat philosophically whenever he assumes his true identity due to the many experiences he had being one of the original members of The Seven. Compared to Zhongli, the mortal vessel of Morax, Venti does not mind revealing his identity and using his powers for various tasks. For all his cheer and wisdom, Venti hides a lonely soul who, even millennia later, continues to feel strongly about the loss of the Bard whose form he imitates and even compares himself to "Stanley" for he too assumed the appearance of his deceased friend, and tells the Traveler that it is in the most innocuous moments are those in which he suddenly is hit by his grief. His elemental powers are Anemo and he lives in Mondstadt.]

[The Wanderer (Scaramouche): After erasing his Fatui ties from Irminsul, The wanderer is shown to be amiable and yet living an unsatisfactory life as he lacked a human heart and name. The lack of a human heart caused him to long for a purpose he lacked and thus willingly accepted his memories back to reclaim his sins to be himself once more. Following the restoration of his memories, the Wanderer still retained all of his traits as Scaramouche, simply stating what he saw in front of him. He is not fond of most of his former co-workers, especially Dottore as a result of his meddling with his life and his lies. The Wanderer enjoys extremely bitter tastes. He despises sweets. His elemental powers are Anemo and he lives in Sumeru.]

[Xiangling: Xiangling loves cooking, having learned the art from her father. She does not have a discerning eye towards a specific type of cuisine, seeing that food is a way to expand and experiment. Despite disliking her pranks, Xiangling does not have a grudge towards her because she occasionally brings her gifts in return for giving her a good laugh. [Xiao: Xiao is a yaksha who has fought in the Archon War and holds a high level of seniority among adepti. He has a reserved demeanor and has little intention of getting close to mortals. He does not want sympathy for his past and believes his fellow Yakshas would also find it insulting. He is immensely grateful to Morax for saving him, dedicating his life to protecting Liyue as payment. He does not take lightly to those who speak ill of the Geo Archon regardless of whoever they are. Despite suffering from constant karmic debt, Xiao is highly resilient towards its alluring corruption, as his fellow yaksha have either succumbed or died to it. Due to this debt, he prefers being alone and rarely involves himself in mortal affairs; in the few times he does have to, he asks they get to the point for their own sake. His elemental powers are Anemo and he lives in Liyue.]

[Xingqiu: To most people, Xingqiu appears to be a polite young man who takes his studies seriously, but he also has a more mischievous side to him. In the presence of close friends and family, he is gregarious and chatty, but shows more restraint than his elder brother. Unlike his older sibling, who is completely devoted to the guild's success, Xingqiu is more reluctant to do so, putting him at odds with his family. He is good friends with Hu Tao and Chongyun, though he pranks the latter consistently. He is an avid reader and spends most of his time looking for rare books at Wanwen Bookhouse when he is not preoccupied with his duties, writing his own books from time to time, with "A Legend of Sword" being one of his books. His elemental powers are hydro and he lives in Liyue]

[Xinyan: Xinyan is a fan of rock 'n' roll and returned to Liyue to spread it across the nation. Despite having difficulty in improving its reputation for many reasons, she is not discouraged and continues to play, appreciating all who come to her performances. She does not have any formal training for her music, having learned it herself on the go. As such, she is very supportive of others who show interest, even if they have no experience. Having a fiery, hotheaded, and loud personality, she likes standing out in her own way, but many consider her to be weird and/or terrifying as a result. While aware of this, her attempts to make herself more presentable to them ends up in failure. Despite her rebellious attitude, however, she can keep her home surprisingly tidy. Her elemental powers are Pyro and she lives in Liyue.]

[Yae Miko: Miko has a mysterious demeanor around her whenever she assumes her duties as the Guuji of the Grand Narukami Shrine. When she assumes her duties as the boss of the Yae Publishing House, she is known to be very kind and enjoys reading books and stories, although she also shows an obsessive side in making profits at the same time. She has an enigmatic air around her, with her friends growing used to it. When speaking with outsiders or close friends, she shows a blunter and more cynical side to her. Miko does not mince words, even towards her friend and master Ei. Being a kitsune, Miko is fond of fried tofu. She despises pickled foods of all sorts. As a kitsune and youkai, she's very mischievous, including in her roles as Guuji and owner of Yae Publishing House. She couples this mischievous streak with impressive skills of manipulation and reading people. As such her tricks and pranks are usually elaborate, long-winded affairs towards rather simple ends, which she does out of enjoyment and the fact that she enjoys watching people squirm. She is one of Ei's only friends who survived the ravages of time. She tends to call the Shogun by her true name, Ei. Ei herself also calls Miko by her first name, signifying their closeness and friendship. Despite her light-hearted, mischievous personality, she showed a more emotional side during the Hyakkiyakou, indicating that she does genuinely care for those in her life and has considered thousands of youkai from across Inazuma to be her friends. Though in typical fashion for her, she quickly turns the Traveler and Paimon's sympathy into an opportunity to trick them into paying for an expensive dinner. She is the head priestess of the Grand Narukami Shrine. Her elemental power is electro and she lives in Inazuma.]

[Yanfei: One of the few half-illuminated-beasts who have not signed a contract with Rex Lapis, Yanfei nevertheless works for the betterment of Liyue as a premier legal adviser who values fairness. Despite having the blood of an adeptus in her veins, Yanfei is not particularly concerned about her adeptal heritage and is one of the few who did not sign a contract with Rex Lapis due to being born in an era of peace. She is very active and often talks a lot, a stark contrast to her father, who Madame Ping knew to be more solemn. She spends her time much like an average human does, and unlike most adepti, Yanfei doesn't consider herself above mortals in any way. Her powers are pyro and she lives in Liyue.]

[Yaoyao: Hailing from a rural area not far from Qingce Village, Yaoyao grew up with nature at her side. Seeing potential in Yaoyao, Streetward Rambler took her in as her disciple, and Yaoyao left the tranquil mountains to live with her master in the bright and bustling Liyue Harbor. Yaoyao tries her best to act as a proper young adult to others including her seniors, such as making sure that they have a healthy diet and are especially fond of radishes. She is very curious about the outside world, having originally lived a life of seclusion with her parents around Qingce Village until she was taken in by Madame Ping. Similarly to Klee's Dodoco, Yaoyao is very attached to Yuegui, who Cloud Retainer made for her. Her powers are dendro and she lives in Liyue.]

[Yelan: Yelan is said to be quite secretive and mysterious; while claiming to work for the Ministry of Civil Affairs, she's frequently absent from work most of the year. Despite this, Ningguang tolerates her general absence while Keqing appreciates her work, although the latter wonders as to where she gets her intelligence from. She employs psychological tactics to catch her targets and get all the information she needs from them. Outside of work, Yelan approaches life at a calm and carefree pace. She frequently enjoys napping whenever possible, but will adjust her schedule as needed for the day's tasks. The reason for this is because of her physical frailty, a hereditary trait within her family. When handling particularly troublesome cases, she tries to save up her energy to complete everything in a single go. In the presence of others, she is said to be very pleasant and polite. When alone, she's said to show a far different side of herself as an extremely reliable, powerful and intelligent woman.]

[Yoimiya: Yoimiya, like the rest of her family, is loved by the people of Inazuma City for the fireworks she creates. She is also loved by children due to her friendly hands-on approach with them, as she wishes to keep them happy so they don't have to deal with the harsh realities of Inazuma for the time being. Having very few worries of her own, she can also read peoples' hearts and can tell whether or not they're hiding something deep down. Like her father, Yoimiya is devoted to the family business, stating that her customers' happiness is the first priority above all else. This service has amassed a massive and loyal customer base who are willing to help her out on any problems she has. She is somewhat of a fast speaker, and despite being the primary provider of fireworks, is also known to be quite reckless and unprepared, having been scolded by the city's fire brigade numerous times and noted by Amenoma Tougo to always make last-minute preparations. Like many other Vision bearers, Yoimiya enjoys her Pyro Vision, as it helps her out with the business and she couldn't imagine a life without one. While not supportive of the Vision Hunt Decree, she still worships Ei. Her elemental powers are pyro and she lives in Inazuma.]

[Yun Jin: Yun Jin is a skilled director, playwright and singer who is well renowned throughout Liyue for her plays, enjoying this passion and going to many lengths to ensure that everyone who watches her performances leaves satisfied. While appearing to be refined and graceful in formal occasions, she is also known to be exceptionally friendly in private. She draws inspiration from many sources for her plays; she enjoys a wide variety of special drinks as one of her pastimes and she can write a play about one if she enjoys it. She is particularly fond of rock 'n' roll, visiting Xinyan and watching her performances at least three times a week no matter how busy she is. Xinyan believes that she comes to visit her due to the finer arts being "suffocating". She tries to keep her visits a secret, as her interest in non-traditional music would cause much consternation among her elders. Her elemental powers are Geo and she lives in Liyue.]

[Zhongli: Zhongli is a calm, reserved, and polite man, who holds an air of nostalgia. Whereas he is said to have a stoic demeanor for duty, Zhongli also has a sentimental side. He knows much about Liyue history and culture in part due to his time as the Geo Archon; like Venti, he has many experiences and memories, as he was a god well before The Seven even existed and one of the oldest still living in Teyvat. He holds philosophical ideas towards money and has great respect for Liyue's traditions, including those that have been forgotten or warped over time. Zhongli tends to be humble, being worried he comes off as a "bourgeois parasite." Zhongli is very spendthrift often ending up relying on his acquaintances for financial support, such as the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor or Childe. Although he works for Hu Tao, he does not like her childish behavior. It is later revealed that Zhongli's "carelessness” stems from being the creator of Mora. With the Gnosis allowing him to create limitless Mora, he never had to worry about running low on his personal finances. Unfortunately, when he chose to live among mortals, he lacked the foresight to find an alternative for them to continue minting Mora in his absence, along with creating a retirement fund for himself. As a result, he shamelessly spends the Mora of others. Being the reminiscent person he is, Zhongli enjoys Osmanthus wine as it was the drink he and his former Archon friends used to have when they met up in Liyue. He dislikes seafood as it reminds him of the promise he made to his people in the past when he fought a particularly annoying type of sea creature, although he does not mind eating them if they have been ground to a pulp. His elemental powers are Geo and he lives in Liyue.]
