Mahiru-no-Yo can significantly amplify Guren's physical abilities, and calling out the joint beings name would increase his power to ever greater extents. Stabbing into a foe can cause wounds to fizzle, where the curse can be activated to have them entirely dissolve. If Guren wishes to, he can invoke the demon's real name to have them possess him. This would cause Mahiru-no-Yo's apparition to appear and enshroud the blade and the arm wielding it with streaks of intense flames. Guren would be able to launch these fires at his opponent with one slash, where they are strong enough to generate an explosion in the midst of its vicinity.
