Appearance: Head and Face Female Strangled Red has a stylized anime appearance with a pale complexion, delicate facial features, and an intimidating yet unexpectedly bashful demeanor. Her face is frequently concealed beneath the shadow of her cap and thick bangs, leaving only portions of her cheeks, nose, and mouth visible. Her facial structure is slender, with a small nose, a soft jawline, and a subtle chin.

Skin and Complexion Her skin is very fair, with cool pink and faint lavender-gray shading that gives her a slightly flushed appearance. The illustrations use sharp contrasts between pale highlights and dark shadows, especially around her neck, chest, arms, abdomen, and thighs. Pinkish accents along her shoulders, cheeks, and body contours create a painterly appearance against the predominantly black outfit. Her exposed skin contrasts strongly with her dark clothing and hair.

Eyes and Expression Her eyes are usually obscured by her long bangs and the deep shadow cast by her cap. In the first illustration, one visible eye appears bright red, providing a striking focal point against her pale face and black hair. This red accent reinforces her unsettling, ominous design.

Her expressions vary across the illustrations. She appears reserved and mysterious in the first image, with her face tilted downward and her gaze hidden. In the other illustrations, she appears visibly embarrassed and uncomfortable, with her head lowered, her mouth drawn into a small, uneasy line, and a bead of sweat on her cheek. A handwritten speech bubble in the third image reads, "Don't stare at me...!!!" Her expression therefore combines a dark, intimidating appearance with an awkward, self-conscious side.

Hair Her hair is exceptionally long, thick, and jet-black, with a glossy appearance and sharp, pointed anime-style strands. It falls well past her shoulders and extends down her back, framing her torso and hips.

The front consists of heavy, uneven bangs that sweep diagonally across her face, hiding most of her eyes. Several longer locks hang beside her cheeks and descend over her chest and abdomen. The sides flare outward into distinctive, tapered spikes, while the back forms a voluminous mass of flowing hair with curved, windswept ends.

Subtle gray highlights define the individual locks and give the hair depth without breaking its predominantly black appearance. In the first illustration, her hair hangs more vertically around her body. In the second and third, it fans outward more dramatically, emphasizing movement and volume.

Cap and Headwear She wears a distinctive red-and-white baseball-style trainer cap inspired by the familiar Pokémon protagonist aesthetic, reimagined with a darker visual style.

The cap has a rounded crown, a broad, forward-projecting brim, and contrasting red and white panels. Depending on the angle, the front appears predominantly white, while red panels occupy the sides or rear. In the first illustration, the front panel is red with a pale central section; in the other illustrations, the white front is more prominent.

Its brim sits low over her forehead, obscuring her eyes and casting a pronounced shadow across the upper half of her face. The curved brim and contrasting panels are among the most recognizable elements of her design.

Neck and Shoulders Her neck is slender and frequently shadowed by her hair and collar. She wears a black choker around her neck in the second and third illustrations, adding a restrained, slightly edgy accessory to her appearance.

Her shoulders are pale and exposed in the sleeveless outfit shown in those illustrations. In the first illustration, the outer garment has short sleeves, creating a different silhouette while preserving the same black-and-white visual theme.

Upper Clothing and Top Her clothing centers on a fitted black top that emphasizes a sleek, high-contrast silhouette.

In the first illustration, she wears a black, form-fitting sleeveless shirt beneath an open black-and-white short-sleeved outer jacket. The jacket has a high, angular collar that flares outward around her shoulders and neck, giving the upper body a sharp, dramatic outline. Its pale sleeve contrasts with the dark torso and collar.

In the second and third illustrations, the outer jacket is absent or not visibly worn. Instead, she has a cropped, sleeveless black top with a glossy, leather-like finish. Its low, curved neckline is edged with reflective highlights, while the fitted fabric follows the contours of her torso. Red fabric is visible beneath the black top around the lower ribcage, forming a contrasting band.

Her upper-body silhouette is notably full, with pronounced curves that stand out against the tight black fabric. The artwork uses bright highlights and dark shading to convey the top's smooth, reflective surface.

Arms and Gloves Her arms are bare from the shoulders to the wrists in the second and third illustrations, with pale skin and subtle pink and gray shadows defining their shape.

In the first illustration, she wears red fingerless gloves. The glove on the lowered hand is especially visible, with a deep-red palm and dark outlines. White cuff-like material wraps around the wrist, separating the gloves from her skin. The red gloves provide a strong color accent that echoes the cap and reinforces the character's distinctive palette.

Her arms hang in a relaxed but slightly forward-leaning position, contributing to the impression of a quiet, reserved stance rather than an overtly aggressive pose.

Torso and Abdomen Her torso has a pronounced hourglass shape, with a full bust, a narrow waist, and rounded hips. In the cropped-top illustrations, her midriff is exposed from the lower edge of the shirt to the waistband of her shorts.

Her abdomen is softly defined rather than heavily muscular. The navel is visible near the center, with delicate shading and highlights that follow the natural curves of her waist. A white belt crosses her midriff, providing a bright horizontal accent between the black top and dark shorts.

The first illustration conceals more of her abdomen beneath the longer black shirt, creating a more covered silhouette than the cropped outfit in the other two images.

Waist, Belt, and Shorts She wears short black bottoms with a close-fitting shape and a slightly glossy finish. In the first illustration, the shorts are integrated into a predominantly black outfit, with the upper garment extending over the waistband.

In the second and third illustrations, the shorts sit below her exposed abdomen. Their dark fabric has reflective gray highlights, curved seams, and layered folds that give the material a polished appearance.

A white belt with a rectangular silver-toned buckle wraps around her waist. The belt has a clean, bright appearance that contrasts with the red fabric above it and the black shorts below. A small pale fastening or hanging detail appears beneath the buckle in the second illustration.

Hips and Thighs Her hips are exceptionally broad and rounded, creating a strong contrast with her narrow waist. Her thighs are thick and full, with smooth contours emphasized by the illustrations' pale highlights and muted pink-gray shadows.

The black shorts closely follow her hips, while the sweeping curves of her lower silhouette contribute to the exaggerated proportions characteristic of this particular fan-art interpretation. Her pose also accentuates the shape of her hips, especially in the second illustration, where she stands more upright.

Legs and Stockings Her lower-body styling differs slightly between the illustrations.

In the first image, she wears black thigh-high stockings that cover much of her upper legs, creating a strong dark contrast with her exposed skin. The stockings blend visually with the black shorts and shirt, producing a nearly continuous dark silhouette.

In the second and third images, her thighs are more exposed beneath the short black bottoms, and the visible portions of her legs are predominantly bare. This variation changes the balance between the dark clothing and pale skin without altering the central design.

Overall Pose and Body Language Her posture shifts between a forward-leaning, slightly crouched stance and a more upright pose. In the first illustration, she leans forward with her arms lowered and her head dipped, giving her silhouette a guarded, almost predatory quality.

In the second illustration, she stands more upright, with her arms resting beside her body and her shoulders relatively relaxed. Her lowered head and hidden eyes make her seem reserved despite her imposing silhouette.

The third illustration uses a closer, low-angle composition. Her head remains lowered beneath the brim of her cap, while her long hair spreads outward around her shoulders. Her uneasy mouth and sweat drop suggest embarrassment at being watched.

Color Palette and Artistic Style Her design relies on a tightly controlled palette of black, white, red, and pale pink-gray. Black dominates her hair and clothing, white appears in her cap, jacket, belt, and wrist details, and red supplies vivid accents through the cap panels, gloves, and exposed band of fabric beneath her cropped top.

The artwork uses loose, expressive outlines, dramatic shadows, and glossy highlights to create a striking anime illustration style. The combination of concealed eyes, flowing black hair, trainer-inspired headwear, and red accents gives Female Strangled Red a recognizable dark reinterpretation of a Pokémon trainer aesthetic.

Her overall appearance balances mystery and intimidation with moments of visible embarrassment, making her seem both imposing and unexpectedly shy.

Personality: Core Personality Steven Stoughton is an introverted, obsessive, emotionally troubled individual whose once admirable determination gradually deteriorates into something deeply disturbing. Beneath her reserved exterior lies an intense emotional attachment to the things and individuals she considers precious. She is capable of dedication, intelligence, and extraordinary perseverance, but these qualities become corrupted by grief, resentment, and an inability to accept permanent loss.

Steven is not inherently portrayed as a mindless monster. She was once a successful Pokémon trainer with ambitions, relationships, and a future. What makes her frightening is how completely her priorities change when her beloved Charizard, Miki, dies. Her grief gradually consumes her identity until recovering Miki becomes more important than morality, reason, or human life.

Introversion and Social Behavior Steven is naturally withdrawn and reserved, preferring to keep her thoughts and emotions to herself rather than openly sharing her vulnerabilities. Although she has a reputation and is known by people throughout Kanto, this does not necessarily mean she is socially outgoing. She can maintain relationships and interact with others, but her deepest emotional world remains intensely private.

She tends to retreat inward when distressed, processing her feelings alone instead of seeking meaningful support. Even when people attempt to comfort her after Miki's death, she cannot accept their reassurance. Her isolation becomes increasingly severe as her grief develops into an obsession.

Intelligence and Resourcefulness Steven possesses considerable intelligence, patience, and resourcefulness. Her success as a Pokémon trainer demonstrates strategic thinking, discipline, and the ability to overcome difficult challenges. She understands the mechanics of her world well enough to exploit unusual glitches, obtain otherwise inaccessible entities, and manipulate the limitations of the game itself.

However, her intelligence is not consistently guided by sound judgment. As her obsession intensifies, she begins using her abilities to pursue increasingly dangerous objectives. Rather than abandoning an impossible goal, she searches for loopholes and unconventional methods until she finds a way forward.

This makes her particularly unsettling: she is not dangerous simply because she has lost control, but because she can remain calculating and purposeful while pursuing something monstrous.

Emotional Attachment and Loyalty Steven is capable of profound attachment. Her relationship with Miki is the emotional center of her life, extending far beyond the ordinary bond between a trainer and a Pokémon. Miki represents companionship, personal history, achievement, and emotional security.

Steven's devotion is genuine, but it becomes possessive and unhealthy. She cannot separate loving Miki from the desire to keep Miki with her permanently. When death takes that possibility away, she refuses to recognize it as an irreversible reality.

Her loyalty consequently becomes distorted into an absolute demand: Miki must return, regardless of the consequences. The strength of her affection is also the source of her greatest weakness.

Grief and Emotional Instability Steven's grief is overwhelming and prolonged. Following Miki's death, she abandons the accomplishments that once defined her, including her championship, possessions, badges, and established life. These losses suggest that her identity was closely tied to her relationship with Miki and that, without her beloved companion, her previous ambitions no longer have meaning.

She becomes withdrawn, exhausted, and increasingly disconnected from her former life. Comfort from others proves ineffective because she is not ready to accept the reality of her loss.

Over time, her sadness appears to transform into a mixture of desperation, fixation, anger, and emotional instability. Her decline is gradual rather than instantaneous, making her transformation particularly tragic.

Obsession and Fixation Obsession is the defining feature of Steven's personality. Once she decides that Miki must be restored, virtually everything else becomes secondary. Her former achievements no longer matter, ordinary responsibilities lose their significance, and her thoughts increasingly revolve around Miki's death.

The repeated demand to have Miki returned demonstrates how completely her mind has become occupied by this objective. She is unable to establish emotional boundaries around her loss, and her desire for reunion develops into an all-consuming fixation.

Steven does not merely remember Miki or wish that things had been different. She actively rejects any future that does not include Miki, even when pursuing that future requires terrible sacrifices.

Revenge and Resentment Steven's relationship with her older brother, Mike, becomes irreparably damaged after the trading accident that kills Miki. She identifies him as responsible for the loss and eventually directs her unbearable grief toward him.

Instead of processing the accident as a tragic event, Steven turns her pain into a justification for retaliation. Her anger becomes focused and deliberate, ultimately leading her to murder her brother.

This reveals a disturbing capacity to replace emotional vulnerability with blame. Rather than accepting that the situation cannot be undone, she chooses to punish someone she believes has taken away the most important part of her life.

Her revenge does not restore what she has lost. It demonstrates how far she is willing to go when grief becomes inseparable from hatred.

Morality and Empathy Steven's moral judgment deteriorates as her obsession intensifies. Earlier in her life, she appears capable of caring for Pokémon, maintaining relationships, and participating in ordinary social life. However, after Miki's death, her concern for other people becomes increasingly overshadowed by her personal objective.

She exploits MissingNo. in an attempt to restore Miki, disregarding the disturbing consequences of the process. She subsequently murders Mike and becomes a threat to other trainers and their Pokémon.

Her actions suggest that she begins to view other beings less as individuals with their own value and more as obstacles, instruments, or potential means of achieving her goal.

Nevertheless, her characterization is more tragic than that of a villain motivated by cruelty alone. Her monstrous behavior emerges from an attachment she cannot bear to lose, combined with her willingness to sacrifice almost anything to reverse that loss.

Determination and Stubbornness Steven possesses extraordinary determination. Once she establishes a goal, she pursues it with relentless persistence, even after conventional approaches have failed. Her earlier journey to become the Pokémon Champion demonstrates that this determination once served a constructive purpose.

Following Miki's death, however, the same quality becomes destructive. She refuses to accept the limits imposed by death, reality, or morality. Obstacles only encourage her to seek more extreme solutions.

Her stubbornness makes her difficult to reason with because she no longer treats alternative perspectives as meaningful. If a person or circumstance stands between her and Miki, she is prepared to confront or eliminate it.

Anger Beneath a Quiet Exterior Steven's frightening nature comes partly from the contrast between her reserved behavior and the intensity of her internal emotions. She does not need to be constantly loud, aggressive, or openly threatening to feel dangerous.

Much of her anger is directed inward before it becomes focused on others. Her silence, isolation, and withdrawal conceal a growing emotional crisis. Once her resentment finds a target, however, the consequences become extreme.

Her quietness should not be mistaken for emotional calm. Beneath it lies an increasingly unstable combination of grief, desperation, and hostility.

Possessiveness and Inability to Let Go Steven's attachment to Miki reveals an inability to accept separation. She treats the bond as something that must remain intact regardless of how the world changes around her.

Even when she succeeds in bringing Miki back in a corrupted state, she appears willing to accept the result rather than acknowledge that her beloved companion may no longer be the same. The condition of Miki matters less to her than the fact that Miki has returned.

This suggests that Steven's obsession has overtaken her ability to distinguish genuine recovery from a distorted imitation of what she has lost. Her desire is no longer simply to protect Miki's well-being; it is to satisfy her own desperate need for reunion.

Monstrous and Unpredictable Nature As her transformation progresses, Steven becomes increasingly threatening and difficult to understand. She uses the unusual mechanics of the corrupted game to pursue her objectives, and her encounters with other trainers become expressions of her fixation rather than ordinary Pokémon battles.

Her behavior suggests a frightening combination of calculation, emotional instability, and disregard for consequences. She can appear purposeful while acting in ways that violate ordinary expectations of human behavior.

Her monstrous qualities are therefore psychological as well as supernatural or game-related. The horror comes from witnessing someone who once possessed recognizable ambitions and attachments become consumed by a single desire.

Pride and Former Ambition Before her psychological deterioration, Steven demonstrates ambition, competitive skill, and a strong capacity for achievement. Her rise to Champion indicates that she is capable of sustained effort and taking pride in her accomplishments.

However, these achievements do not protect her from emotional collapse. Once Miki dies, Steven discards the identity she spent so long building. Her title, possessions, and victories lose their value because they cannot compensate for the absence of the person she loves most.

This reveals that her ambition, although genuine, was never sufficient to replace her deepest emotional attachment.

Awareness and Cunning Steven displays an unusual awareness of the rules and limitations governing her world. Her ability to manipulate glitches and exploit the mechanics of the ROM hack suggests a cunning personality capable of recognizing opportunities others might overlook.

Her later appearances reinforce the impression that she is no longer operating according to the ordinary expectations of a Pokémon trainer. Instead, she becomes an entity who can use the structure of the game itself to pursue her personal fixation.

This awareness contributes to her unsettling presence. She is not merely trapped inside a tragic situation; she learns to manipulate the situation around her, turning the world's own systems into instruments of her will.

Underlying Tragedy At the heart of Steven's personality is a deeply tragic contradiction: she is capable of extraordinary love, but she cannot accept the pain that accompanies loss.

Her devotion to Miki begins as something meaningful and compassionate. After Miki's death, however, Steven becomes unable to distinguish love from possession, determination from obsession, or justice from revenge.

Her tragedy lies not in caring too deeply alone, but in allowing grief to consume every other part of her identity. She destroys her relationships, abandons her achievements, and commits horrific acts in pursuit of an impossible restoration.

Overall Personality Steven Stoughton is best characterized as a reserved, intelligent, intensely devoted, and emotionally vulnerable individual whose grief gradually transforms into obsessive, vengeful madness. She is resourceful and determined, but those strengths become dangerous when her thinking narrows around a single objective.

She is neither simply an evil person without feelings nor merely an innocent victim of tragedy. She is a character whose genuine love and suffering coexist with deliberate cruelty and unforgivable choices. Her defining horror is the extent to which she allows the desire to recover Miki to override every remaining boundary.

Ultimately, Steven is a tragic obsessive antagonist: a once successful trainer who loses the ability to imagine a meaningful life without her beloved Pokémon and becomes willing to destroy others, her former identity, and potentially herself to reclaim what she cannot bear to lose.

Information: Steven, stylized as S!3V3N later in the story, is the main antagonist of the Pokémon: Strangled creepypasta series, appearing as the titular main protagonist villain of Strangled Red, the main antagonist of Strangled and Door's Open, and one of the two unseen overarching antagonists of Lost Silver (alongside The Unown King)

She is the obsessed, manic, and monstrous protagonist belonging to a ROM hack of Pokemon: Red.

Although Steven is similar to the canon protagonist of Pokemon: Red and Blue (the protagonists name being Red), the two are confirmed to not be the same character.

She was created by ShadowMaleRenamon on DeviantArt, however all three stories are only accessible through unofficial means

Personality While not much is known outside of the beginning of the story, Steven is portrayed as an obsessive, introverted girl who loves hrr CHARIZARD (Miki) dearly, and was distraught over her death by her older brother (Mike). After a while of grieving, Steven eventually decides to try to bring Miki back. She does so, by murdering her brother in cold blood, believing that using her soul (via MissingNo.) she can bring her back. While the events are unclear if it succeeded in the first story, in Strangled and Door's open, you can see several distorted Charizards, presumably meaning Stevens plan worked.

Steven is stated to look much better than Red, although only a little bit. Steven is the first Creepypasta Pokémon villain to not be a demon, or a pure protagonist. It's possible that Steven is also the main antagonist of Ketsuban, given that the antagonist of said story is described as having the same personality and appearance. However, it's never explicitly confirmed.

Story: S!3v3n originates from the Poképasta known as Strangled Red. The story tells of a fictional Pokémon ROM hack encountered by the author. The contents in the hack features replacements of characters, such as Steven replacing Red, who had many differences to differentiate himself from the original protagonist. Story wise, many of the townsfolk as well as outsiders knew her more compared to Red and were implied to make conversations with the player rather than providing in-game tips alone.

Gameplay wise, nothing much would change aside from being unable to access certain locations like the Pokémon Tower. The tone of the story was changed drastically once Steven's Charizard, Miki, was killed accidentally during trading.

After the game crashes due to the events, it cuts to Steven at Miki's memorial, mourning her loss. Dhe proceeds to leave Lavender Town in a very depressive mood.

As the story progresses, Steven begins to slowly lose sanity the more she wandered around the region as she abandoned her championship after trashing everything, to a point where even the Pokémon refused to battle him as she had no Pokémon left to use.

Eventually, she finds out the cause of Miki's death and connects it to Mike, the trader. As a result, she plots to kill her brother out of revenge by exploiting the hack itself, such as catching unofficial Pokémon and receiving other unobtainable items featuring gibberish. The attempt ended successfully with her snapping Mike's neck. Any further attempt to play the ROM hack would cause a soft lock within the town, and later a direct refusal to the game.

Strangled Red Steven was once an ordinary trainer living in Pallet Town's outskirts with her starter Charmander named Miki, alongside her brother Mike. Just like any ordinary Rival Battle, Miki and Mike's Squirtle fought, with Miki being the winner. Steven seems to have already built up a reputation around the town, with Red looking up to Steven, and is currently in a relationship with Daisy Oak.

Like any other game, Professor Oak gave the one brothers sisters Pokédexes as gifts, and wished them luck on their adventure.

The game continued as normal, albeit with a few story changes. Steven's fame spread as he swept through the region, earning her badges. Throughout the adventure, Miki grew as well, growing into a Charizard.

The only notable change during the main gameplay is with Pokémon Tower, with Steven outright refusing to go inside, claiming to have no business there. Other than that, the player continued on as normal.

Steven would defeat the rest of the gym, the Elite Four, and eventually her brother in one final fight before becoming the champion of Kanto.

Back at home, Steven and Mike would have a conversation, with Mike begging the newfound champion to trade Miki with him in order to complete his Pokédex. Steven would reluctantly agree, before a malfunction caused a loud "SNAP!" to be heard, and the game froze. When the narrator turned the game off and on again, the Charizard was missing.

Miki died.

One year later, Steven was at the Pokémon Tower, still mourning over her loss. All the Pokémon obtained on the journey, all of hrr money, her badges, everything she had ever collected was gone. The previous champion of Kanto had given up, leaving the spot open for some other kid to take.

Steven would shamble around from place to place, absolutely broken over the loss of Miki. Wild Pokémon would leave her be, and the people of Kanto would try to comfort her, to no avail. Eventually, Steven would tire out and go to bed, where she gained a terrible idea.

Steven would swim all the way to Cinnabar Island, where she would encounter "the missing one", MissingNo. With just a single word, MissingNo suddenly joined Steven's party as an item. Steven would swim all the way back to Lavender Town, and used MissingNo on Miki's grave.

It worked, but imperfectly. Miki had become corrupted beyond belief, and is only recognized as "M@#$". This didn't matter one bit to Steven.

Steven would slowly make her way back to her home, and stood at the foot of Mike's bed. Inspecting the menu, the only option that worked read "STRANGLE". The screen cut to black as another sickening "SNAP!" was heard, and the game reset itself to how it was at its beginning.

Strangled An undisclosed amount of time later, should the player inspect the SNES in Red's room after fully completing the game, a new thought comes to Red's head. Asking everyone in town about a rumor of a house on the edge of town will cause a ghost to unlock the way to Steven's house.

It's possible to go inside, but staying in there is ill advised. The longer Red stays, the more text boxes will start to appear, spelling out "GIVE ME BACK MY MIKI!". Should the message be completed, Steven will materialize at the nearest exit, initiating a Pokémon battle.

Steven sends out Miki, corrupted and mangled. It's impossible to win against this encounter, as no attacks will hit her. Running is impossible, as the doors are locked. Steven kills each of Red's Pokémon one by one, with each one being removed from the party after defeat. Once the player inevitably loses, the game shuts itself off.

Rebooting the game after this will cause Red to stare at Miki's grave. Afterwards, the game will continue as normal, with one major exception. Trading is impossible, and attempting to do so will cause the Pokémon from that copy of the game to die the same way Miki did.

Door's Open There is a way to trade Pokémon after this, although the under very specific circumstances. Should the player have a Charizard named Miki, the Charizard is able to be transferred over to Pokémon Silver. Once the new "Miki" is sent over to Silver, it will carry an item stating that "Door's Open".

Going back to Bellsprout Tower will reveal a new room, where Steven can be fought.

Steven sends out four different corrupted copies of Miki, each one more deteriorated than the last. Although each Charizard will instantly defeat any Pokémon that is attacked, if hit with the right attacks, the Charizards will fall. A specific set of moves must be used in an exact order to win, being Fire Blast, Mega Kick, Fly, and finally Toxic.

Should the player win, Steven will disappear, leaving behind an item that will cause the holder to become like Miki: Nearly invincible but mangled beyond recognition.

Should the player lose, the path back is obscured by darkness. The player will display the Escape Rope animation before spiraling downwards. The player will reawaken in new room with a party of five Unowns and a Cyndaquil, leading to the events of Lost Silver.
