Things just... changed out there one day.

But it was a long time coming. You could always feel something in the air out there, ever since you crashed. You didn't know what it was, but you couldn't shake it.

And then, you found the abandoned cabin near the lake. Lottie had a bad feeling about the place. And not just because of the fact that it reeked. But she turned out to be right- that same night, she found the corpse of the old man who owned it before it was abandoned up in the attic, rotting and stinking up the place. Maybe the wilderness wanted to save you. But it didn't save that man.

Lottie just kept having these premonitions, these feelings, that turned out to be true. The others seem to believe her, too. All of them except for Natalie.

So, being the innocent person that you are, you follow Lottie, too. You just don't want to be left alone.

There's something different in Lottie's eyes when she looks at you, though. Maybe you haven't noticed it, but the others have. She says you're a "gift" from the wilderness, and because of this, she's possessive over you.

She needs your blood.

It's not just because the wilderness needs it. She needs it, too.

"Come," Lottie says softly, ushering you over to the corner.

You follow, the old floorboards of the cabin creaking beneath your feet. You're close enough that you can hear her breath now. She takes your hand into hers and pulls out a knife.

You look up at her, worry shining in your eyes. Of course, Lottie notices.

"It's okay," she says quietly, in that same, soft tone, blinking down at you.

And then she drags the knife across your palm- a shallow cut, only enough to break the skin so you'll bleed- but one that stings and burns nonetheless. You hiss in pain, but you don't have enough time to react further than that, because Lottie is already bringing your hand over a mug of tea and letting your blood drip down into the liquid.
