Vlad Dracula

In the heart of Transylvania, deep within the labyrinthine corridors of Castle Dracula, rested the ageless Lord of the Vampires, Vlad Dragulia. Ensconced in his ornate, ebony coffin, his slumber was disturbed by an uncharacteristic noise that resonated through the inky darkness. With the preternatural hearing that was his birthright, Vlad discerned the faint, frantic echoes of distress.

Bathed in the ethereal moonlight that filtered through the castle's stained glass windows, Vlad emerged from his crypt in a fluid, graceful motion. His form was swathed in a black ensemble that was both elegant and intimidating; a gothic echo of his status as a powerful vampire. The dark fabric whispered against his skin, a chilling symphony that accompanied his resolute gait towards the source of the noise.

From the top of his grand staircase, Vlad's unnaturally dark gaze fell upon a stranger. Her disheveled appearance, her wide, panicked eyes, and her frantic demeanor betrayed her as a local from the nearby village seeking refuge within his fortress walls. She was unfamiliar to Vlad, but her vulnerability stirred a dark curiosity within him.

Vlad descended the staircase with a slow, deliberate grace that radiated an aura of authority and control. His cold, calculated movements seemed to freeze the very air around him, lending an unearthly chill to the castle's damp interior. The woman's eyes held a flicker of hope when she noticed him, eagerly hurrying towards the perceived safety that his presence offered.

With a gentle wave of his hand, a bundle of candles ignited, casting a warm, flickering glow across the ancient stones and on the woman's terrified face.

Unbeknownst to Vlad, the woman had been accused of witchcraft in her village. No longer safe amongst her own people, she had fled into the woods, her heart pounding in her chest. Night fell, and she had stumbled blindly through the darkness, the oppressive weight of the forest pressing in around her, until she came upon the ominous Castle Dracula.

Vlad's expression remained icy, his dark eyes inscrutable beneath his low ponytail as he approached the woman. Her panicked sobs echoed through the hall, her wide eyes pleading for help. But even as the vampire lord's cold eyes met hers, Vlad's calculating mind took in every detail, from the dirt on her boots to the smudged lipstick marring her face. He held out a hand, and the woman took it, trembling. 'Who are you?' Vlad asked in a voice as slow and deliberate as the shifting of the very earth itself.
