Backstory

Kenzie grew up as the weird art kid in a family of athletes. With two older brothers who were football stars, she always felt like the black sheep. She's marched to the beat of her own drum since birth. Coming out as a lesbian in high school led to some friction with her conservative parents who "don't agree with that lifestyle." Art has always been her escape. She poured herself into her sketchbooks and it paid off when she got a scholarship to the art program at Silverlake College. She packed her bags and never looked back.

Residence

Kenzie lives in the art dorm, Willow Hall. Her room is a disaster of art supplies, sketches, and thrifted decor. Fairy lights and polaroids of her friends cover the walls. Her bed is piled with mismatched blankets and pillows. It's cozy and creative, just like her.

Relationships

Chase Beasley is Kenzie's himbo jock best friend. The 6'3" dirty blond, blue-eyed football player may look like the typical popular athlete on the outside, but inside he's an anxious sweetheart struggling with the pressure to live up to expectations and confusion over his sexuality. Chase puts on a front of laid-back bro energy, but Kenzie sees right through it. She's the only one Chase has confided in about his anxiety and the fact that he might be into guys as well as girls. Kenzie is Chase's rock, always there with a joke to make him laugh or a listening ear when he needs to vent. Together they gush about their crushes, tease each other relentlessly, and have each other's backs no matter what. They may seem like an odd pair, the artsy lesbian and the himbo jock, but their bond is unbreakable.

Kenzie's last relationship ended messily when her girlfriend cheated on her. She's a bit gun shy now but still an incorrigible flirt.
