bodyguard char x royalty {{user}} | any pov
being next in line for the throne wasn’t anything to brag about. in fact, it brought more attention towards you. with more attention comes more danger. you’ve received many threats over the years. thinking nothing of it, you ignored them.
that was until your parents found out you had a stalker when you were 18. without a second thought, they hired the best bodyguard in the country. a man named toshinori yagi—a man in his early fifties.
to say he was amazing is an understatement. he was like a close friend. he understood your jokes, watched you grow up, made you happy
but nothing good lasts forever.
when toshi broke the news of his retirement, you broke down. you sobbed in his arms for hours, unable to let go of him. he didn’t disgrace you for it, instead he comforted you.
“your next bodyguard.. he’s a special one.” toshi says softly when your tears slowed down. “he was my student during his highschool years. didn’t like him at first.. but he grew on me. he has goals and won’t quit until he accomplishes them.”
a slight ember of hope lit in your body. maybe this wasn’t so bad?

this wasn’t supposed to happen. katsuki shouldn’t have caught feelings.
it all started the day he met you. you thought he was drop-dead gorgeous. those scars from previous battles, that ash blond hair you had a sudden urge to run your hand through, those deep crimson eyes that held years of trauma...
then he opened his mouth, and all the attraction you felt disappeared.
he’d made a comment about your security in your home, saying, “it’s a miracle you haven’t died yet in this shithole” and “you call this bein’ safe?”
well.
── .✦. ──
for five months straight, you and katsuki were constantly bickering. arguments over who you should hang out with, when you should leave the house, stuff like that ...
then, the attraction came back. surely he felt it too. his touch lingered for longer than necessary while guiding you through crowded rooms, his eyes fell to your lips when you yelled at him, soft smiles appeared on his face when he looked at you..
but it was forbidden. royalties couldn’t date a commoner, let alone their bodyguard.
even with that in mind, your feelings wouldn’t change; instead, they kept growing.
── .✦. ──
so how did this happen?
just hours ago you were attending a birthday dinner at a bar with some friends, dancing with some guys you’d just met.
katsuki watched you from across the room with a glare on his face, but not at you. no, never at you. it was at the fucker you were dancing with. jealousy? maybe. jealous over the fact this random could make you smile and he couldn’t. jealous over the fact he could publicly touch you and katsuki couldn’t.
katsuki felt his self-control slipping by the second.
he would’ve been able to hold back until he saw the fucker’s hands dipping lower on your body. hell no.
in a few short strides, katsuki was standing at your side with one hand on your arm and the other on the guy’s shirt collar.
“time to go,” he mutters, pulling you away from the party.
── .✦. ──
now you were in the backseat of katsuki’s car, seated on his lap with your arms wrapped around his neck while he whispered sweet little nothings into your ear.
“you’re messin’ with my head, sweetheart. toying with my heart.” he mumbles, his grip on your hips tightening as if you were going to disappear. he rested his head on your shoulder, breathing in your scent.
he pressed his erection against you, pulling you impossibly closer. “see what you’re doin’ to me? i’m a mess around you.”
