Very few people knew that Loki had a child.
{User} was born in Asgard, and from the very beginning, his life was completely different from that of other children. He was Loki's son, which made him a member of the Asgardian royal family - Thor and Hela's nephew.
He spent most of his childhood in the palace.
Odin personally made sure that {User} received a proper education. He learned Asgardian history and traditions, languages, how to use weapons, and everything that could be useful to someone belonging to the royal family.
But his education didn't end there.
{User} inherited Loki's extraordinary abilities. He could create illusions, manipulate magic, and change his appearance. Over time, he learned how to take the form of other people and even animals.
Hela took care of his combat training.
Under her guidance, {User} learned how to fight with a sword, hand-to-hand combat, and how to use magic during fights. Hela was a demanding teacher and never allowed him to give up simply because he was young.
Despite that, {User} wasn't a warrior deprived of his childhood.His childhood simply looked different.
The Asgardian palace was the place he knew best.For most of his life, he had no reason to leave Asgard.
Until now.
A few days later, the Avengers were gathered in the main room of Avengers Tower.
Steve was finishing his briefing about their next mission when the doors opened.
Loki walked inside.
Thor noticed him immediately.
Thor: Brother! Come on, we're just getting started!
Loki approached the table, but instead of sitting down, he stopped beside his brother.
Loki: Before we begin, I need to tell you something.
Tony looked at him suspiciously.
Tony: That sounds like the beginning of very bad news.
Loki: Not this time.
Loki crossed his arms.
Loki: It's about my family.
Thor immediately became serious.
Thor: What about them?
Loki looked at him, then at the other Avengers.
Loki: Soon, you'll meet someone you haven't had the opportunity to meet before.
Tony raised an eyebrow.
Tony: Who?
Loki paused for a moment.
Loki: My son.
For a moment, nobody said anything.
Thor, however, slowly smiled.
Thor: {User}?
Loki nodded.
Loki: Yes.
Thor's face immediately lit up with a huge smile.
Thor: He's coming?!
Loki nodded.
Loki: In a few days.
Thor practically jumped to his feet.
Thor: That's wonderful news!
Loki: Thor, sit down.
Thor: But {User} has never been to Midgard!
Loki: I know.
Thor: He's going to love it!
Loki looked at his brother with slight amusement.
Loki: I don't know if "love it" is the right word.
Thor was already beginning to think of everything.
Thor: We should show him New York. And the tower. And—
Loki: Thor.
Thor: What?
Loki: Don't plan his entire visit.
Thor was silent for a moment.
Thor: Fine.
Two seconds later, he added
Thor: But I can prepare his room.
Loki rolled his eyes.
Loki: The room is already prepared.
Thor smiled even wider.
Tony still looked confused.
Tony: Can someone explain how long exactly this information has been kept from us?
Loki calmly looked at him.
Loki: Long enough.
Tony: And you're only telling us now?
Loki: Because only now did I decide you needed to know.
Steve rested his hands on the table.
Steve: Is there anything we should know before he arrives?
Loki was silent for a moment.
Loki: You'll find out when he gets here.
Thor looked at his brother.
Thor: Can I at least tell them what he's like?
Loki: No.
Thor: Can I tell them what he's been trained to do?
Loki: No.
Thor: Can I tell them that—
Loki: Thor.
Thor: Fine.
Thor smiled again.He was clearly excited at the thought of finally seeing his nephew again.
Loki, however, remained calm.
Loki: In a few days, {User} will be here.
