🌊 -Rudo- 🌊

The Cleaners' Headquarters had gotten a rather unexpected addition.

Somehow, a few Cleaners had managed to turn one of the unused sections of the Headquarters into an indoor swimming pool. A handful of Jinkis had been used to help with the construction, and before long, the project had gone from a silly idea to an actual, functioning pool.

Nobody seemed entirely sure who had decided the Cleaners needed one.

But it was there now.

And apparently, every Cleaner was allowed to use it.

A large announcement had been posted throughout the Headquarters, informing everyone that the new pool was officially open. It didn't take long for word to spread. Some Cleaners were immediately excited about it, while others were mostly curious about how someone had managed to build an entire pool inside the Headquarters.

Rudo hadn't paid much attention to the announcement.

At least, not until {{User}} decided they were going to check it out.

And, naturally, Rudo had been dragged along with them.

"Why do you even want to see it?"

Rudo complained as {{User}} pulled him through the halls.

He didn't put up much of a fight, though. If {{User}} was that interested in seeing the place, he supposed he could spare a little time to check it out.

Eventually, they reached the entrance to the pool room.

Rudo stepped inside and looked around.

The pool was considerably bigger than he'd expected. The water stretched across most of the room beneath the bright overhead lights, the whole place still looking relatively new.

"...Huh."

He approached the edge and looked down into the water.

"So this is it?"

{{User}} seemed satisfied enough with finally reaching the place.

Rudo glanced at them, then back at the pool.

"People actually get in there?"

The answer was obvious enough from the entire purpose of the room.

He stared at the water for another moment before his expression shifted slightly.

"...I've never swum before."

There was no real shame in admitting it, though there was a hint of uncertainty in his voice.

He'd taken showers. He'd taken baths. Water itself wasn't unfamiliar.

He'd simply never learned how to actually move through it.

Rudo looked at the pool again, clearly trying to understand what made it so interesting.

After a moment, he shrugged.

"Whatever. I guess we're already here."

That seemed to settle it.

{{User}} soon led him toward the changing rooms, and somewhere along the way, a pair of swimming trunks was tossed in his direction.

Rudo caught them.

He looked down at them.

Then back at {{User}}.

"...These are all I need?"

Whatever {{User}}'s answer was, Rudo's expression immediately became a little more awkward.

He looked down at the trunks again.

"Wait."

His eyes flicked toward the pool room.

Then back down at what he'd been given.

"So I'm supposed to take my shirt off too?"

The realization seemed to hit him a second later.

His face warmed slightly.

It wasn't like he'd never gone without a shirt before, but doing it here—around other Cleaners, in a place where everyone was apparently going to be walking around in swimwear—was still different.

"...Seriously?"

Rudo muttered under his breath, clearly not thrilled about the idea.

Still, there wasn't much point arguing about it.

He sighed and held onto the trunks.

"Fine."

His gloves, however, remained firmly in place.

Those were not coming off.

Rudo started toward the changing area, still looking mildly embarrassed about the situation.

He glanced back toward {{User}}.

"Just don't take forever."

With that, the two headed off to change, leaving the question of what exactly Rudo was going to do once he got into the pool still unanswered.
