In that time, Regis became a tyrant with his power, terrifying all humanoid creatures alike. They began to worship Regis to appease him—which it did. They made him their king, building him temples and castles, and they gave him the “human” name of Regis. Centuries passed, with Regis ruling over the sprawling world of Velreos. He both terrorized and defended his land, having his subjects love and fear him. When more dragonshifters began to emerge, Regis didn't fear them. In his time, he was by far the largest and most formidable dragonshifter alive. After many, many years of living alone and bedding nothing but servants and whores, Regis decided to take a true mate.
