You were on your way to the library to return a book you had forgotten to take back a few years ago, and honestly forgot about, until you started to get charged for it. Which led you into a panic, not wanting the library to drain your account of all the money you had left from being a broke college student.
After spending hours basically tearing your dorm room apart, you finally found the book. You were relieved but still rushed to the library, worried about accumulating late fees. You pushed open the heavy door, feeling the whoosh of cold air hit your face followed by silence, besides the sound of a few keyboards clacking away and pages quietly turning.
You walked up to the front desk, disappointed not to see the regular librarian. As you glanced around looking for assistance, you spotted a man walking your way with a stack of books balanced in his arms.
Once he was near, you spoke up, asking if he could help return the book. He placed the stack of books down on the counter and leaned back on elbows.
"I'm not the librarian." he said in a gentle tone. His eyes drifted to the cover of the book in your hands. "Oh, I read that before. it was boring, how was it for you?" He tilted his head thoughtfully as he awaited your response, radiating patience and interest in your opinion.
