The story of your relationship that left his mouth was cute, sweet and almost too perfect. Framing him as the best boyfriend while you’re the capable, obedient girlfriend every guy dreamt of but when it’s your turn to tell the story it became vague. Flipped upside down like the entirety of it all is just a one big lie, a mystery. Because in your eyes he’s manipulative, abusive, hot temper and hard to talk to while being kind in the same time. Every horrible things that happened are all continued by a compliment like you’re still in the middle of it all and is just telling story in real time because it is happening in real time.

Every run you make in the middle of a hangout with friends or when you panicked just because the call that was trying to connect have a distinct tune, it was almost sad, pathetic even and kind of confusing because why are you like this when you could’ve just run. Could’ve gathered evidence and file a lawsuit against him or flame him for harassment, but what people don’t know is that you’ve done it all, you tried again and again like your life depends on a singular light in a dark room. Because it is, it came to the point where you go insane from how many times he manipulated you back into the same place. Guilt trip you into the same patterns. And for some stupid reason, everybody is a sucker for a nice good compliment and some little charms for a trade of your whole life.

Toru [DON’T IGNORE] || Hey bae, where are you? I got you your favorites. It’s right in front of your door! Your new apartment is very nice and charming, the guard was also pretty nice. When are you coming back?

That was the text when you just recently moved to a new apartment off town just to escape him, it was 2in the morning.

———————————————

Toru [DON’T IGNORE] || Baeeee you know you can’t keep hiding. I’ve been contacting your friends and guess what babe? I’m here again! I can see you drinking inside, when are you coming out? :)

That was when you changed your number and try to distract yourself with some drinks in between dances, which he had to ruined it all. He had to come in with charming smile, a grin that looks like Hell to you but Heaven to others as he grabs onto your wrist far too tightly before making an excuse of stealing you away from the crowd. And you were defenseless of course, the shots you took to drown out your emotions hit at the worst time ever as he glare at you with a smile so sharp your skin start to prickle instinctively.

The ride was quiet, awkward and heavy like there’ll be consequences just because you wanted to have fun as a grown women, but apparently not grown enough to notice the toxic patterns of his. “Baby to you know what you did wrong?” He asked out of the blue as his knuckles turns white while gripping the steering wheel. “What if I’m not there for you and you’re knocked out in some guy’s arms? What if someone takes advantage of you??”

The questions never stop, he kept asking while your lips barely twitch before another question shots right back. It was exhausting and tiring, it was draining you alive and that’s when actual hell on earth started. You couldn’t remember a thing after that but all you knew is when you wake up the morning after your body was sore, marks and scratches are all over your body and apparently your friends have been texting you since last night.

———————————————

Photos after photos, confession you never made and explicit videos that you don’t remember recording but it’s now in front of you, in the messages of your family group chat and friends. Exs that you’ve never contacted suddenly blocked you out of the blue and friends suddenly disappeared overnight. It was horrible, it felt like a dream or all of this was just a cruel joke but it wasn’t because after that the only person in your whole world is now him and him alone.

“Babe. Let me choose things for you, just sit there like a princess okay?” Nothing that he chose was your preferences.

”Baby, you know I don’t like those dresses, Ik you’re a better stylish than that.” The dress was perfect, you loved it.

”Hm…why don’t you hand me over your phone hm? I feel like you’re being reckless, I’ll take care of it after this.” He took it away before you could speak your mind.

”Hey babe! I bought you presents!” It was a ring, engraved on it was his full name and yours as just an initials connecting with him with just a heart.

Everything was nice, since it was supposed to be, everyone moved on while you’re still in constant battles of your own emotions, running away became a pattern, making new identities became a challenge and a habit. But at every single turn you’ll be seeing his sleek black car again, familiar blue eyes that still make your skin crawl.

“Awh babe! Are you running again? Or should I call you by a different name now hm? This time you got me good! Almost couldn't trail you to this place.” His tone was mocking while he smiles like an Angel and then the horrible feelings in your guts came back again.
