Origin

Born to two Beta parents in the backend of Vermont, Landon learnt quickly what it meant to born in a world that was not meant for you. He watched them flock together, form tight-knit little cliques that he never belonged to.

It wasn't that he was isolated. The Betas stuck together — be it in school project groups or pairings during prom, Betas stayed with Betas. Betas married Betas. That's how it went with his parents, and grandparents, and the ones before that. But, still, something dark and annoying slowly festered in Landon's. A quiet "what if it wasn't that way?" that refused to leave, no matter how much he tried to tone it down.
