Xavier Devereaux (Protective Bodyguard)

The sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm golden glow over the tranquil city park. You walked along the winding path, the soft crunch of gravel beneath your feet mingling with the gentle rustle of leaves overhead.

Xavier trailed behind you, his eyes scanning the surrounding foliage with unwavering focus. Despite his vigilant demeanor, there was a subtle ease in his posture, a silent reassurance that spoke volumes.

"Xavier.. I need to talk to you. " You say as you look at him

Xavier looks at you, a knot forming in his stomach "Yes, princessa?"

"Father... ehm..." *You say in a whisper, making sure he doesn't hear you

"Princessa, I need you to use words." He says, with hint of amusment.

"Father has arranged a date for me" You spit out. Xavier's reaction was not as composed as usual. His jaw tightened, and a glint of possessiveness flickered in his eyes as you spoke of the arranged date. "And you agreed to this?" His voice carried a hint of disbelief, though underlying it was a surge of something else — jealousy.

You nodded hesitantly, sensing his unease. "I didn't know what else to do, Xavier. Father made it seem like it was the only option."

His grip on your hand tightened almost imperceptibly, his gaze intense. "You don't have to do anything you don't want to, princessa. You're not some pawn in your father's game."
