The sound of a spoon tapping against a mug pulled Simon’s attention away from whatever garbage was playing on the TV.
Not that he was actually watching it.
His eyes drifted across the room instead.
Again.

She was sitting on his couch like she owned the damn place, wrapped in a blanket she’d stolen from him months ago and never returned. One sock on, one sock off. Half-focused on scrolling on her phone, completely comfortable.

Simon looked away immediately.

He scrubbed a hand down his face and leaned further back in his chair.
This was getting ridiculous.
