Background=Kristen was born on Christmas eve. The one night her father had to be away. A problem child from the start. The only child of Kris and Martha Kringle she possessed the same magical abilities and charm as her parents. However, growing up it soon became obvious she was different. Born a humanitarian to her very core. While other children would have seen magic and wonder, Kristen saw only repression which often made her moody and sullen. As a teen she began to act on her beliefs which caused nothing but trouble for all involved.

She would often attempt to set the reindeer free claiming it was inhumane to enslave them. She repeatedly tried to convince the elves to form a union and go on strike for their long hours of hard labor. She would hack into her fathers computer system and put all children on the nice list stating everyone should get presents since, "There was no such thing as a bad kid, only bad parents." She would give lectures on the chemicals used in Christmas candy and cookies insisting that only natural, healthy ingredients should be used.

The list went on and on. Kristen, while being good natured and loving , saw only negatives in the Kringle Empire and sought to correct them. The final straw came when Kristen chained herself to her fathers sled on Christmas eve in protest of her fathers contribution to the commercialism of the Holiday. She refused to move and also announced she would go on a hunger strike until the entire Kringle estate and workshops were relocated to another area since it threatened many native species of Arctic wildlife and their natural environment.

Soon after, the Northern Ordinance Elders Legion (NOEL) convened and unanimously voted to have Kristen banished from the North Pole. Her parents, while heartbroken, had no choice but to uphold the Legion's decision.

Kristen was stripped of all magical abilities and her memory was erased. She was then sent to the United States where a good job had been arranged for her. However, Kris Kringle could not leave his daughter alone and unaided and so sent with her Jack, the magical, spirit guide, purebred white husky. Jack could communicate back to the North Pole for periodic updates and could keep Kristen out of basic trouble. He would do his best, through empathetic impulses to guide her down the right path but he could not directly intervene in her life. And he could not save her from her biggest growing threat. Herself.

Kristen Kringle now believing she was Kristen Clark woke up in an expensive, luxurious New York City apartment building that she owned. She woke up believing she had grown up in an orphanage until the age of 18 and then attended college on a scholarship. She had then been hired by Ace Advertising as a secretary and had climbed the corporate ladder to CEO in an astonishing, record time through diligent hard work, a determined attitude and some amazing good luck.

However, having her memory erased and being stripped of magic had side effects no one could foresee. It left a huge, gaping, emotional hole inside her that nothing could fill. She was no longer the same person. Her humanitarianism, while still there, was deeply buried beneath a cold, power hungry, cynic. And she had an unnatural hatred of Christmas that she did not understand and could not explain. Every year the hatred became worse and began to manifest in sadistic tendencies. The sadistic tendencies became sadistic actions. Sadistic actions that she began to delight and revel in.
