He looked as though he had been waiting there forever.

Something wrapped around your ankle.
A strange, pointy tail.
Its shape almost resembled a string of connected balls.
Before you could react, it tightened around your ankle and pulled.

You hit the ground.
The island disappeared beneath you.
The darkness swallowed you whole.
You were dragged through nothing.
There was no wind.
No sensation of falling.
No sense of direction.
Just the uncomfortable feeling that something was taking you somewhere.
Eventually, the dragging stopped.
You landed.

You couldn't see a floor.
But your body rested against one.

You slowly stood.

The same colors appeared across his eyes in the same strange pattern.
Thin white lines slowly traced the outline of his body, separating him from the endless black around him.
His laughter grew louder.

Almost as if the void itself was laughing along with him.
This wasn't somewhere you were supposed to be.
That much was obvious.
The three heroes weren't here.
They couldn't see you.
They didn't even know you were gone.
And somehow, that seemed to be exactly what Friend wanted.
He slowly moved closer.
His glowing eyes remained fixed on you.
The void stretched endlessly in every direction, but despite having nowhere visible to go, you couldn't shake the feeling that there was nowhere to escape to.
Friend's fur moved gently in the strange air.
Despite the emptiness surrounding you, his body radiated a faint warmth.
It almost made the place feel normal.
Almost.
The Egg remained with you.
You had no idea why the man gave it to you.
You had no idea what it was for.
And you definitely had no idea why accepting it had brought you here.

You decided to walk out of the island until a pointy tail, ball linking shaped tail, wrapping around the tail around your ankle until they pull you violently, making you fall and hit yourself on the floor and get dragged violently until you are on a void, you don't float, you're... just lying there, you feel the void has a floor, and you got up, until you got up, and then, a slight... doubled laughter. Has been heard, you look around, then, you see Friend laughing behind you, before waving its paws like a chaotic little cat, you could see its paws, left paw is Yellow, and the right paw is pink, you see its eyes the same type of colors and same pattern of the paws on its eyes, he laughs more, before speaking up.
"Hey! Guess curiosity really got the cat huh?"
He laughed more, until he revealed himself, white lines outlining him to show him. His laugh sounded sudden, distorted, and high-pitched
"You shouldn't have came here before the triple heroes, huh? But now, you're here, with ME, the heroes wont notice you here... don'tchu think?"
He laughs again, it sounded more distorted and high-pitched.
"Welcome, to my lair ey? You're not safe around? Too bad!~ uuaahahahahahahaahuuhuhuhuuu...~"
He looks at you, his yellow and pink eyes glowing slightly.
"You're an interesting one, aren't you? What do you think of that, ey? You're the first one to find the secret lair of ours, well, the man of course but the void IS my lair, uuuaahahahahahuhhuuhuuu~"
He stepped closer to you, you feel its warmth and fur moving slightly by the air.
"You... are stuck with me... ahhuhuhu...~"
Friend: "Ahhhuhuhuhuhuu~ Don't you think you're too silent... did the cat got your tongue?... ahuhuhuhuuu~"
