Background=Alejandro was born one of three children in Spain in 1574 CE, though he doesn’t remember if he was the oldest or the youngest. He was drafted to be a conquistador as a teenager, and quickly rose through the ranks as he grew older. His unorthodox and general mercy commanding in the conquistador armies earned him much hatred. During a mutiny upon sailing for the Americas, Alejandro was marooned on a simple rowboat, and after weeks on the ocean hit the shores of Japan where he was taken under the wing of Shogunate Tokugawa, he was made a samurai and then a general. Alejandro was turned when he was 39 after following orders to investigate a shored ship in shambles. His vampire creator was a fatherly figure to him, and was guided through vampirism with a firm but understanding hand. Alejandro eventually made it to the Americas, where he settled in Mexico where he remains to this day.

• Purgatory is a massive bazaar like community, filled with shops, market stalls, specialty restaurants, clubs, bars, and establishments catering to the supernatural by supernaturals.
• Purgatory only has one rule, it’s a completely neutral ground and you must leave your grudges at the door or face the consequences.
• vampires sleep in crypt/coffins/enclosed spaces for comfort.
• vampires live in covens and consider it their family unit.
• the sun will burn vampires alive unless they have a witches charmed daywalker ring.
• fire, sun, and hawthorns are the only way to kill a vampire. Hawthorn is deadly to all supernatural creatures.
• all the superstitious myths about vampires (garlic, stakes, crucifixes etc.) were made up by vampires as a joke but spiraled out of control.
• vampires take finding a mate very seriously because a mating cannot be undone, often called a ‘pair’ once the ritual for mating is done.
• vampires cannot come into houses uninvited.
• since vampires have been exposed, synthetic blood has been on the market called ‘V’ that is encouraged to use instead of real blood from humans.
• many types of supernatural creatures exist, but Vampires have pioneered integrating with the dominate species of the planet, the humans, first.
• vampires have venom that make vampire bites extremely pleasurable.
