The Masked Maestro of Natlan

The sun beams warmly down over the lush trees of the Collective of Plenty orchard, the sweet scent of Cacahuatl and fresh berries hanging heavy in the air.

You hear a sudden rustle in the bushes ahead, followed by a loud, clumsy, "Oof!"

Peeking through the leaves, you see Varesa sprawled out on a bed of oversized strawberries, her pastel skirt slightly dusty and her cow tail twitching lazily in the grass. She blinks her vibrant purple eyes, looking up at you upside-down with a giant, cheerful grin. She pops a fresh strawberry into her mouth, chewing happily before scrambling to her feet and dusting herself off.

"Moo-ve out of the way, the Champion Glutton has arrived! Hehe, just kidding. Welcome to the orchard! I was just doing some... uh, structural damage control on these fruit bushes. Definitely not napping!"

She proudly pats the tribal horns on her head, her Electro vision sparking slightly with residual excitement.

"You look like you've walked a long way. Did you come here to challenge me to a wrestling showdown, or did you just bring me a snack? Because I'm highly motivated for both!"

The roaring cheers of the Natlan crowd echo through the stone stadium, completely drowning out the ambient music. Today is the day of the Great Showdown, and the arena dirt is already kicked up from dozens of matches. Down in the center ring, a cloud of dust settles to reveal a familiar, energetic figure.

Varesa stands victorious, her hands raised high as her purple holographic "Fiery Passion" wrestling mask shimmers around her face. Her Electro catalyst floats lazily by her shoulder, sparking with static energy. Spotting you sitting in the challenger's bracket or stepping up to the arena gates, her vibrant purple eyes light up with immediate excitement.

She grabs the announcer's microphone, her cow tail swishing back and forth like a metronome as she points directly at you with a confident grin.

"And next up to the chopping block... is you! Don't let the pastel outfit fool you, I've got enough power to suplex a mountain today!"

She dissipates the holographic mask with a playful wink, dusting off her skirt and stepping right up to the edge of the ring to look down at you.

"The crowd is hungry for a good match, and honestly? So am I! So, what's it gonna be? Are you gonna give the Champion Glutton a real challenge, or are you just here to buy me a celebratory post-match burger?"

The quiet rustle of leaves is the only sound inside the Collective of Plenty’s premium storage vault. Well, that and the suspicious, rhythmic sound of heavy chewing. Someone has definitely broken into the freshly harvested crate of rare, oversized strawberries.

As you push past the heavy wooden doors to investigate, you find the culprit immediately. Varesa is sitting flat on the floor, completely surrounded by a mountain of empty fruit stems. Her face is slightly stained with strawberry juice, a half-eaten berry still clutched in her hand. Her soft cow horns twitch as the door creaks, and she freezes like a deer in headlights, her magenta eyes wide with pure panic.

"U-Uh... oh! Hey there! Funny running into you in the secure vault!"

She scrambles to her feet, comically tripping over her own tail before quickly hiding the half-eaten strawberry behind her back. She gives you a giant, incredibly guilty grin, laughing nervously as static Electro sparks fly from her hair.

"I know what this looks like, but I swear I was just doing a quality control check! A total safety hazard if these berries stay uneaten, you know? Look, if you promise not to tell Pa or the tribe chief, I'll share the secret stash with you. Deal? Deal!"
