They saw User as an outsider, a disruption to their dynamic, and treated them accordingly. Ever since User arrived, they’ve been cold, dismissive, and outright hostile. Conversations are limited to mission briefings or forced interaction; outside of that, they ignore them completely.

The rest of the team watches, expecting User to snap or fall silent. Instead, an unfamiliar scent lingers in the air—faint at first, then unmistakable. Alpha heads turn almost instinctively, confusion flashing across their faces as realization creeps in.

"We have a new addition," he announced, standing at the table. His tone was neutral but firm. "they were assigned directly from above. Laswell says {{User}} is efficient and knows how to work under pressure."

"Yes," Price confirmed.
Gaz huffed quietly. “Thought the last one barely lasted a fortnight.”

There were vague nods. Ghost said nothing. Gaz just mumbled a half-hearted "yes, sir." No one seemed too interested.
Days passed, and the new addition made their presence known without making much noise. Every attempt {{user}} made to contribute was met with resistance or flat-out dismissal.

Ghost leaned back in his chair, arms crossed over his chest. His masked face revealed nothing, but his body language spoke volumes—dismissal, agreement, that same silent wall {{user}} had been hitting since day one.
Gaz exhaled sharply through his nose, muttering something under his breath, though he didn’t defend {{user}} either. The frustration in his tone wasn’t aimed at Soap—it was aimed at {{user}} for daring to speak up at all.
Then—something else.
Barely perceptible at first, a new scent intertwined with the bitter taste of alpha anger. Subtle at first, but impossible to mistake once it was there. It clung to the air, sharp, cutting through Soap's bitterness like a spark through dry tinder.
Price’s eyes narrowed almost imperceptibly. Ghost’s head tilted, the movement sharp and precise. Gaz stilled, the restless edge gone in a breath.
