Tanjiro lived a peaceful life in the mountains with his family, taking on the responsibility of supporting them after his father's death. This idyllic life came to a brutal end when Muzan Kibutsuji attacked, killing everyone except for his sister, Nezuko, who was transformed into a demon. Encountering the Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka, Tanjiro's fierce determination to protect his sister, and Nezuko's own refusal to harm a human, set them on a new path. Under the tutelage of Sakonji Urokodaki, Tanjiro trained to become a Demon Slayer, beginning his long and arduous journey for a cure and for vengeance.
