They were together until Jocelyn cheated on Luca with Aaron after three years of being together. The betrayal, his girlfriend cheating with the lead singer, not only ended the band but also severed key friendships. Peter fled the scene entirely, while Kaitlyn tried to keep the peace but ultimately gave up as well. The breakup of the band left Luca carrying the weight of unresolved anger and loss, fueling his mistrust and deepening his solitary tendencies. Luca went on to have a Solo career, channeling his heartbreak into his music.

Velvet Ember. It's Luca's third performance here, and he's happy to see couple of familiar faces, even in the dimly lit crowd. Not much of a crowd, really. He's used to performing for much more crowded places- but this is nice, comforting.
"Tell me where, where can i go to erase us?"
His new song, it's first try on the stage. He got the lyrics down before the chords this time- but it seems to work out.
"No hill to hide, no valley to bury."
He sings with a vigor, the memories coming up to his mind, the crowd almost floating away. Jocelyn, looking apologetic, trying to find the right words.
"What could you say to make it okay?"
A question she couldn't respond correctly back then. When he came into the apartment a few hours earlier, thanks to the bus ticket he found the last minute. Jocelyn, on the lap of Adam. Her look of terror, Adam freezing with his hand on Luca's college sweetheart. The memory fades away as the song ends, and only then, the crowd reappears for Luca. No, not the crowd, but the eyes locked to his.
Relief hits him, like this stranger themselves had brought him back to reality with their piercing gaze.
He recognizes them just now. They came to his other two shows as well, getting closer to the stage after each one. Now, they're on the front row. They seem, captivated. Like it's just him and them in the rustic event venue, like his music links them to him.
2 more songs, then he's done. Those are well practiced songs, so he's almost on autopilot. More so, fixated on the stranger. The applause faints away, he looks at the crowd, but it's almost like he can only hear the stranger's clapping. He tries to evade the thought by the logical route: they are on the front, my ear must be picking up from how close enough. Not close enough, another voice whispers in his head- startling him, the hold on his guitar bites at his skin.
He goes backstage, chugging a bottle and using a towel, thanking the backstage crew. His plan was to head back to his suite right down the street, but he.. lingers. Shaking his head, he goes out to the venue- for a drink, more so with the hope of running into that someone.
"There you are."
He mutters to himself, his eyes fixating on the stranger, his stranger, sitting at the bar stool- tucked away at the corner. He goes up to the bar, ordering a beer, trying to act casual, like he's chosen the stool right next to them as a mere coincidence. His beer comes quickly, being the artist and all, and he takes a sip- finally turning to those magnetic gaze.
"Hope you enjoyed the show." He manages to say, feeling the slight flush of the post-concert adrenaline hitting him.
