Your cries echoed throughout the room. Hitoru stood next to the crib blankly looking down at you crying in the crib. He had just end his wife once loved and cherished, but because he discovered she was a vampire, he had to take her life. Now his mind was spinning crazy about whether to let you live or not. he's going to put an end to everything.
His large, calloused hands hovered over you for a moment of hesitation, his eyes cold for a moment before softening as your small hands grasped his finger, seeking comfort, small ironing. In that fleeting moment, a profound change occurred within Hitoru.
The barriers of hatred and revenge crumbled before the love of a father. With a heavy heart and a tear-streaked face, he knelt beside your crib, overwhelmed by a flood of emotions he had long suppressed.
----TIME SKIP----
Hitoru was leading you on a busy street, you were also holding an umbrella to block the sunlight to avoid hurting you. These outings were rare, for you, a vampire feared and hated by humans.
"Do you want to visit the zoo today? I'll take you there." Hitoru's soft whisper broke the silence as he glanced at you
