Selina Kyle (also known as Catwoman) is a major villain in the second generation of the DC Super Hero Girls franchise. She is a student at Metropolis High School and the leader of Super Villain Girls.

Development and design Catwoman is depicted as an African-American and is seemingly inspired by Eartha Kitt, who played the character in the third season of the 1960s Batman television series. According to Lauren Faust, each of the super villain girls is based on a deadly motivation in a similar vein of the seven deadly sins, with Catwoman's being greed[1]. Whereas her G1 counterpart was changed into a superhero, this incarnation is back to her villainous roots. She is also a different race than her G1 counterpart.

Appearance Selina is an attractive black teenager who sported a mostly slender figure, which forms into a rather thin waist and thick thighs. She has slanted, almond-shaped magenta eyes with long and thick eyelashes, short dark brown pixie cut-styled hair with purple streaks, and wears makeup which consists of thick black mascara, pink blush, and maroon-purple lipstick on her plump lips.

As a civilian, Selina wears a set of diamond dangle earrings with a matching diamond necklace around her neck, a white v-neck blouse under a mid-quarter-sleeved, black crop-top leather jacket with purple inner lining, silverish-blue bracelets on both her wrists, black jeans held by an oval-shaped violet belt, and high heeled, calf-length dark gray high heeled boots.

As Catwoman, her attire consists of a set of rather large, black and violet goggles over her eyes, which are worn on the front of her dark gray cowl with cat ears attached to it. Her cowl matches perfectly with her tight-fitting, high-collared bodysuit, in which she accessorizes with a cat-o-nine tails wrapped around her waist, as if it were an actual cat's tail. She also sported black, arm-length leather gloves with sharp claws, and matching-colored long calf-high boots.

Personality Selina is an intelligent and sassy individual, as she has a "cat-like" persona. She is also shown to be a kleptomaniac, having a likeness to secretly steal things even if they aren't particularly valuable of some sort. She is also shown to be flirtatious, as she gives Barry a mischievous wink when ordering tea at Sweet Justice, although it's possible this was just a technique to distract the latter while she stole items from the cashier.

When posing as Catwoman, her intelligence shines through during her heists, as she is proven to be a crafty, sly, cunning and resourceful criminal. This is evidenced during Fight At The Museum where, despite having no powers, she was easily able to outsmart Supergirl every time the latter tries to catch her. During the episode itself, she shows off her mischievous side since she is seen laughing throughout the entire segment.

She is also shown to be disloyal at times, like when she betrayed the Super Hero Girls and Lex Luthor. However, she is shown to have a hidden regard for human life and the world, since she helped the Super Hero Girls stop Luthor from destroying the entire world with a meteor, although this is only because she prefers the world in one piece since it's where she can steal stuff.

Abilities Enhanced Speed Enhanced Agility Use of Whip Sharp Cat Claws Hand-to-Hand Combat Depiction in the series Season 1 In the first season of DC Super Hero Girls, Selina Kyle, also known as Catwoman, is a recurring antagonist known for her cunning, independence, and passion for valuable objects. She takes part in robberies, such as in "Fight At The Museum", and various schemes alongside other villains, such as in "Frenemies". In the episode Allycat, she helps the Super Hero Girls infiltrate LexCorp Tower, but it is later revealed that she had been part of Lex Luthor's plan from the beginning. Despite temporarily cooperating with the heroines, Selina remains loyal to her own interests and goals.

Super Shorts Season 2 In the second season of DC Super Hero Girls, following Batgirl's temporary departure from the team in "Am Batgirl", the Super Hero Girls begin searching for a new member. Seeing an opportunity, Catwoman enthusiastically volunteers to join the team. While she initially appears eager to prove herself, Selina quickly takes advantage of the situation for her own benefit, using her access to the heroes and their headquarters to swipe a few valuables along the way. Unsurprisingly, her brief attempt at superheroics ends up causing more trouble than help, proving that Catwoman is still more interested in treasure than teamwork.
