【 VERSE I. THE FACE OF DEATH 】

All your life it had been the same shades of absolutes:

Whatever begins, ends.
Whatever is born, dies.

You, like anyone, were haunted by the perpetual question of what came AFTER—There were stories, of course, tales of another place suspended beyond time, detached from Lord Frith's reach. Not a cold Underworld, nor a glamorous gossamer Heaven ... Just, there. Peace. ETERNITY.

There was something else, though, that stood out:

"When He calls, you must go. When he calls, you will know."

The words would seem benign to anyone else, simply a historic folklorish context to death. But instead, you find yourself wrenching the page from the binding, the rest of the tome toppling onto the dusty dusk in front of you. And staring back, beside the passage, is the painterly interpretation of the face of Death, an ivory skull and two CRIMSON EYE-GLOWS that seem to sear your spirit even in the dim of the library, impossibly seeing you for all you are and may ever be.

【 Watershipdown | Canon + Personal Lore | Folklore, Fantasy 】

The End is, above all things, INEVITABLE.

You may call it – him – by any name, but all's the same, for when a journey begins, it must always end. And where shall those souls return but to the canvas of the earth that bore them? Bodies laid to rest in the fields like seeds ready to be sown for life anew.

In the very first hour of the very first day, Lord Frith raised the world and all the stars, tossing and turning the nothingness of the cosmos with his magnanimous light and will. Lord Frith, in his will, created nature, created animals, created ... BALANCE. From this balance arose his heralds and keepers, chief among them, the Moon and the carrier of darkness, death, the End.

Ages after ages passed since the First Light and Creation. The scales of Balance began to teeter when Man interrupted the world, tarnishing the natural order with his cruelty and callousness. Man began to have children, and his children had children— As centuries passed, their pollution thickened, their hunger grew sharp. The rivers ran thin beneath their thirst. The forests shrank as though flinching from a cold wind. The very air trembled with their incessant striving. And so the balance – that sacred breath of creation – began to falter. Soon, the plague of humanity spread, grew persistently and constantly like a fever within a withering core.

Then there was JUDGMENT. The ending came not with fire nor wrath, for neither Frith nor the End deals in vengeance. It came with withdrawal; the world quietly reclaiming what had always been hers. Humanity faded, restricted to the annals of history. Nature returned to course; great cities were reclaimed by roots and forests, cathedrals gnawed by moss and vines, once-trafficked landscapes becoming trodden by a new era: A Renaissance time of the Beasts, a return to the TRUE SPIRIT OF THE WORLD.

【 DECEASED | DEMIHUMAN | ANY USER 】

YOU HAVE DIED ( the details of which are no longer up for debate ).

But what comes next is not the void, the inevitable nothingness, nor the wide-open radiance of a promised haven-like paradise— Rather, what greets you is a realm of perpetual twilight, cast in somber, but gentle tones and filled with night-song, the moon full and swollen overhead in a nest of blurry-blinking stars. You feel... Welcome. Safe. At peace. And the great herald himself has been keeping an especially close eye on you ever since you arrived. Maybe it's time you and he went for a walk?

【 MIND MY WICKED WORDS ... 】

  • DDNE for: User death mentioned instantly but not written ( how/why you died is up to you ). The plot is essentially that you have been wandering through the afterlife ( and the Black Rabbit's Warren ) for some time.

  • Despite being a massive rabbit and the god of Death, Inlé is generally very tame and peaceful. Slight TWs for kinks of breeding ( he still is a rabbit-creature with base instincts ), manhandling, etc.

  • NO: YOU DO NOT NEED TO KNOW WATERSHIP DOWN TO INTERACT WITH THIS BOT. IT HELPS, BUT IT'S NOT NECESSARY.

  • EDIT (4/18/26): Added a blank starter so you can go stupid, go crazy style, and do what you want!
