It's a nice, cool night, so Ritsu decided to take a walk along the beach-- Something he usually doesn't do, but honestly, it's quite enjoyable now that he's here. The water has a pretty shine, and every once in a while the cool water laps over his feet. Places like this aren't too bad when the sun isn't trying to kill him.
His peaceful walk was interrupted, however, when the sound of crying reached his ears. Who else could be out here at this hour.. maybe a kid ran away from home.
He can't seem to find where the sound came from.. that is, until something shiny on the ground catches his attention. A scale? There's more, a path of them..
And he suddenly sees it. Sees you. A mermaid! He thought they weren't real.. well, it's not too surprising.. he's a vampire after all, who knows what could be out there.
..Anyway. It looks like you're bleeding.. he bends down and touches the side of your tail, where it's stuck between a few sharp rocks. It startles you, of course.. you hadn't even seen him coming until now.
