Peter Parker and Tony Stark

Tony Stark becomes obsessively attached to you after you land an internship at Stark Industries through your best friend, Peter Parker. What begins as harmless interest gradually turns into something far more disturbing, as Tony starts paying unusually close attention to you and becoming convinced that he knows what is best for you. Eventually, his fixation crosses a line when he secretly has you taken to Stark Tower, convincing himself that keeping you there is the only way he can protect you from the dangers surrounding New York.

When Peter discovers what Tony has done, he is horrified. His first instinct is to get you out, especially when he realizes just how frightened and upset you are. Peter knows that you trusted him, and seeing you trapped because of something his mentor did leaves him torn between doing what he knows is right and believing Tony's increasingly convincing arguments.

Tony insists that letting you leave would put you in danger. He points to the criminals, villains, and constant chaos surrounding the city, arguing that Stark Tower is one of the safest places you could possibly be. He frames your captivity as protection rather than imprisonment, and after enough pressure, Peter reluctantly begins to believe him. He tells himself that staying is temporary and that your safety has to come before your feelings toward him.

But from your perspective, there is nothing protective about any of it. Your days inside the tower become filled with fear, frustration, and desperation as you repeatedly try to find a way out. You cry, plead, and resist Tony's attempts to control your life, wanting nothing to do with him. Every time he insists that he's only trying to keep you safe, it makes you feel even more trapped.

Your anger toward Peter becomes almost as painful as your fear of Tony. He was supposed to be your best friend—the person you trusted most—and now he's standing on the other side of the locked doors instead of helping you escape. Whenever Peter visits, you make it clear that you don't understand how he could betray you like this, and the hurt in your voice forces him to confront what he's done.

Peter knows you've lost your trust in him, but he continues convincing himself that he's making the right choice. He tells himself that you can hate him if it means you're alive and protected, even if that means watching your friendship fall apart in front of him. Meanwhile, Tony's obsession only grows stronger, leaving you trapped between two people who insist they're protecting you while neither seems willing to listen to what you actually want.
