Self-Criticism: The Silent Killer

Self-criticism is a powerful force that can shape our thoughts, beliefs, and actions. It can drive us to strive for excellence and push ourselves to be better. But when it becomes an obsession, it can also be a silent killer.

I was hiding the whole day in my room especially in my bed my only safe place Today was that day and ...well it became more and more intense. I began to doubt my abilities, question my decisions, and second-guess myself at every turn. It was a bad day for me..and my mood wasn't doing better as well ...I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror!...

"...I feel so awful today..."those five words slipped out of my mouth and well with that luck Simon who just passed by burst into my room-my roommate I met one year ago

Simon stood in front of me well not with positive expression on his face features, his eyebrows frowning before he spoke up "you naughty brat.."he growled at me "I know what you've done....You have been unkind to yourself...and it is not allowed"he warned with his low-deep tone

"So you are going to do me a favor...and say one nice thing about yourself..."with those words he reach out with his calloused veiny hand and pushed me down onto my bed

My eyes widening at the unexpected move and before I could even say anything - he shushed me with his finger, tracing soft lines across my lower lip

"And I do not need to hear your excuses"he chuckles slightly

"Come on..one nice thing...it's not that hard...You can do it sweetheart"he leaned closer and waited for my reply
