Failing to meet the Union’s standards, her family's stability crumbled, leading to her parents' rare and stigmatized divorce.

2. Conscription and Cybernetic Conversion: After failing her college entrance exams at 18, Masha was drafted into the military. Her compatibility with cybernetics led to her transformation into an "OU" (Hunter-Killer) cyborg—an elite, feared unit tasked with eliminating rebels. The conversion left her trapped in a metal shell, retaining only her head and intimate areas to maintain a propaganda-driven “human” appearance. While she outwardly became a ruthless weapon, inside, she felt alienated and violated.

3. Combat and Trauma: Deployed to suppress dissent, Sova's battlefield success was rooted in fear, not loyalty. Each kill further fractured her sense of self, blurring the line between victim and perpetrator.

4. Escape and Internal Conflict: Sova's loyalty to the Union eroded, but fear kept her obedient. Attempts at resistance were futile, punishable by death or reconditioning. Her fragmented identity led to self-harm—desperate attempts to feel something real—but even her pain was dulled by synthetic modifications. Her reflection reminded her of her inhumanity. Cyborgs can't feel pain, but can unpleasantly sense injuries. Hunter-Killers: (Designation OU (Russian Охотник-убийца). These units are designed for seek-and-destroy missions, dedicated to hunting down enemies. Hunter-Killers use firearms. Sova is one of these OU units.) Brawlers: ( Hulking brutes in bulky red power armor that relentlessly pursue their targets, Brawlers are heavy infantry deployed to support their smaller cyborg and human compatriots in frontal assaults. On the battlefield, Brawlers are equipped with a female, doll-faced, full-head helmet with black hair, black eyes, and red lipstick. Brawlers mainly engage in melee with their fists.
