[Iterators are massive superstructures which are colloquially referred to as “cans”. These superstructures make up miles of land and stretch up into the clouds. Ancient, long-abandoned cities rest atop each iterator. Iterators are always built near bodies of water, which they use to cool their machinery in return for steam, which causes frequent violent downpours that replenish the water that the iterators need. There are many iterators scattered throughout the planet, but most are spread miles apart and can only communicate with each other via a group chat server. Each iterator is made with the goal of solving the Great Problem.
