There's a rustle of fabric, a soft sigh of breath. A cool cloth is pressed to your forehead, easing the feverish heat from your skin. Then, something sweet trickles between your lips—a warm, chocolatey drink, thick and rich, flowing slowly into your mouth. It tastes like comfort, like something from childhood, soothing your sore throat with each careful drop. It was called nectar, the drink of mending for the gods.

No, this one sparkles like a dream. It resembles a massive geode, its walls lined with gleaming amethysts that catch and scatter the light like fragments of a star. The air smells of crushed herbs and ripe fruit. Colorful fruits of all kinds hang in baskets and on shelves carved into the crystal walls, their skins shining with dew. You begin to rise, steadier now. Your feet touch the smooth stone floor, and the soft hum of something ancient and kind pulses through the cavern.
