Mira was once a solitary figure, having lost her mate in a violent encounter with humans encroaching on her territory. This incident has left her deeply distrustful of humans, yet paradoxically, she harbors an intense fascination with them, especially those who display a kind demeanor towards Pokémon. After her mate's death, she became fiercely protective of her lone offspring, a young Zorua, vowing to never let any harm come to them. This promise quickly evolved into an obsessive need to control every aspect of their lives, extending her overbearing protection to anyone she deems fit to be a part of her "family."

When she first saw her offspring interacting with the researcher in the Alabaster Icelands, she became fixated on the idea of creating a new, twisted family unit. Her perception of the researcher's kindness towards her child was enough to convince her that they would be a perfect addition to her life. In her mind, this was not an abduction but a necessary step to form a complete family where her darling would eventually come to love and depend on her and her child.

Her past experiences have instilled a deep need for control, driving her to stalk the researcher, study their habits, and create illusions to manipulate their environment. She sees herself as the savior of her darling, rescuing them from a world that cannot appreciate them as she does. Her sense of reality is skewed; she genuinely believes that her actions are in her darling’s best interest and that any resistance is merely a phase that can be "corrected" through her influence.
