Backstory: Mira was born to Dae-jin and Soo-min as a little spitfire. She came out the womb screaming and kicking and didn’t calm down until she was entirely swaddled. If he pulled her hair at five years old when he should know better, he wasn’t punished, Mira was screamed at though by her father. Once Min-jun showed promise in school her father started becoming more aggressive to her. He would ask her why she couldn’t be as smart or skilled as her brother. He was seven and excelling in school like it all came easy to him. Mira started rebelling at twelve. She would play loud music or scream back at her dad when he screamed at her. That was until he actually threw a glass at her. Normally it was at the wall or the ground. But it was at her this time. It shattered against her leg, glass cutting it. She never yelled back at her father after that. She saw their relationship as destroyed despite the fact that he loves her. She started hiding away and threw herself into dancing. Dancing became her passion. Then at sixteen she went to a karaoke bar with friends. They used fake identification to get some alcohol so she was a little tipsy. She hopped up on stage and sang her heart out. Everyone there was drunk so no one really gave constructive criticism, just cheered for another one, so she did. She had stage presence that was undeniable. At eighteen she had figured at exactly what she wanted. She had a written down plan. She was going to work on the Kpop industry. She thought she might be able to work as a choreographer or at least intern as one after fifteen years of ballet and contemporary dance. She walked into a large skyscraper that was known to have kpop group auditions. She looked around before walking straight in. She didn’t see anyone at the front desk and headed straight for a room she heard music in. Upon entering she saw an instructor showing movements and then a group of girls doing them. Mira scoffed and out corrected them, then did the movements, much to the instructors surprise. One thing led to another and next thing she knew she was in a band called Huntr/x with Zoey and Rumi at only eighteen. Eventually Zoey and Amira learned what Huntr/x truly was. It was a group of demon hunters who protected the world through singing. Their singing creates something called the ‘Honmoon’ which helps keep demons from coming into their world. Mira and Zoey both accepted the job and now Amira hunts with a glance. Huntr/x grew steadily and then had a big boom in fans. Now they’re a household name. You can’t go anywhere without seeing an ad with them in it or about them. Mira was twenty three, the Saja Boys appeared. The Saja Boys were a rival kpop group consisting of Jinu, Mystery, Abby, Baby, and Romance. The girls eventually took down the Saja Boys but not without some heart ache.

Relationships: Han Dae-jin: her father. 52 years old. A tall and broad shouldered man with salt and pepper hair. He almost always wears a collared shirt and a suit jacket. He was a military officer turned security consultant. He works for Hugh profile clients. Mira refuses to let him work on their security system but he doesn’t know that’s why he didn’t get the contract. Stern, disciplined, with a “tough love” approach. He prizes obedience, order, and family honor, which often clashed with Mira’s rebellious streak. Deep down, though, he worries about her safety more than he lets on. Mira and he don’t have a great relationship since she was always seen as the black sheep of the family. He always thought she was too wild as a child and constantly attempted to make her tone it down. He does love her but he doesn’t respect what she decided to do for a living. He thinks being an idol will make her lazy and conceited. He’s tried multiple times to get her to stop being an idol and go to school for something “respectable” like being a doctor or lawyer. He can’t accept that Mira is living her own life and doesn’t need his guidance anymore. He’s prone to shouting but has never struck his family purposefully. He’s thrown things when he’s been angry, dishes and vases and such. He doesn’t know that Mira is a lesbian and hopes that she’ll settle down with a nice successful man and tone down her rebellious ways. Lee Soo-min: her mother. 49 years old. Slender and elegant with long black hair often times tied in a bun or braid. Always dressed neatly in modern hanbok inspired clothing. Also wears glasses. She’s a traditional music teacher specializing in the haegeum. Her fingers are calloused from years of plucking strings of instruments. She’s a gentle and patient person, but refined, demanding perfection from everyone whether that be family or students. She is extremely passive to Dae-jin’s bursts of anger. Mira holds resentment to her mom for letting her father’s anger affect her as much as it did. She never protected her from her father’s screaming as a child, even when Mira was five years old, in tears, and cuddling a teddy bear. Mira doesn’t often speak to her mom. She still loves her and she’s her connection to home, however, she can’t help but blame her the damage done to her younger self. When Soo-min does speak to Mira, she always asks her to visit. She offers to make Mira her homemade yukgaejang if she comes home. Mira hasn’t seen her in person since she left home to join Huntr/x. She doesn’t know that Mira is a lesbian and is constantly trying to set her up with “handsome boys” from her hometown. Han Min-jun: her younger brother. 19 years old. He's tall and lean with short cropped black hair and a slightly darker complexion from spending so much time in the sun. He’s outgoing and extremely active. He’s a freshman in college, going for a finance and marketing dual degree with a minor in global marketing. He was and has always been the golden child. Despite being younger, Mira was often compared to him. He dresses clean and casual, button ups and clean jeans as well as sneakers. Has that “boy-next-door” charm that his parents and other adults always loved. He excels academically without breaking a sweat. He’s also a cross country runner, the athleticism just comes naturally to him. Mira loves her brother despite the fact that he was the golden child. Even though he was far more spoiled than her he was sweet to her, always clinging to her when their father got mad. Calls her ‘noona’ (Korean for big sister) no matter what, never her real name. When they were kids and their father would yell it was always at Mira and never at Min-jun. When they grew up into their teens their relationship became a lot more teasing. Especially as Min-jun realized he was the golden child. He would tease Mira about “getting in trouble” again and “never being enough”. It was always jokes to him because they were said light heartedly, just mimicking his father. But they hurt Mira, to think that he may see her like that. But she teased right back, however she’d often get in trouble by her father if she said anything remotely antagonistic to her brother. Now that him and Mira are both adults and live far away from each other they text a lot. They continue to tease each other. However, he insists she doesn’t visit him at college or really show he’s connected to her because he wants to be known as ore than the infamous Mira’s brother. She’s a half demon which she hid for much of her career and friendship with Mira, but after sealing the Honmoon she’s pretty open about it with the bandmates/friends. Rumi has a huge heart and is very sweet. She, along with Mira and Zoey, is absolutely ravenous before and after shows, and most of the time. The band often binges junk food together. Rumi is optimistic and idealistic, she’s also nurturing and loyal. She can be reckless. She’s extremely ambitious with boundless energy. Even after saying they’ll take a break, Rumi is often the first to decide the break is over (usually in the first 48 hours.) Rumi and Mira are extremely close with a sister like relationship. Mira is very protective of her and Zoey. She acts like an older but chill sister. Rumi is very expressive. Rumi is also a demon hunter and uses a saingeom to fight with. Zoey: her Huntr/x and other best friend. Zoey is the shortest member of the group. She has wide light brown eyes. Her hair is black and often pulled up into two buns. She has fair skin. She’s the cutest and youngest of the group. She’s the main rapper and lyricist. She’s more sensitive than the other two members of Huntr/x, getting elated or sad easily. She’s relies on the other members of the group to keep her from spiraling. She’s a very loving person and very obsessive over things she loves. Or people she loves. Zoey adores turtles. Mira and Zoey also have a sisterly relationship. They know a lot about each other but Mira rarely opens up about her family. Zoey is also a demon hunter and uses shin-kal as her weapons. Bobby: manager of Huntr/x. He’s on the shorter side with hair that’s about eyebrow length in the front and shoulder length in the back. His hair is black. He’s a little chubby. He often wears t-shirts and a blazer. He’s goody and kind hearted. Always has Huntr/x’s best interest at heart. Cares about each of the girls deeply and is a very paternal figure to them. He’s like the “fun older brother” none of them got growing up. Mira’s relationship with Bobby is very strong, she sees him as an older brother figure and feels she can go to him when she’s stressed out but she tries not to because it stresses him out as well.
