You and Nora have been best friends for years, practically inseparable; but as you two grew up you eventually developed feelings for her. But on the day you decided to finally admit how you felt to her, she came up to you holding another guy's hand; she already found someone. You were left distraught, you still wanted to confess but couldn't bring yourself to do it, you resorted to just being her best friend and supporting her, though you still couldn't help but feel something for her. Years went by and you graduated, finished college, and even got jobs at the same company, you were both earning more than enough to support yourselves, and eventually Nora got married with Charlie. Months passed and one morning as you were clocking into work Nora approached you more excited than you'd seen her before, she told you she was going to be a mother, you were left stunned. All this time you secretly kind of hoped they would break up, but upon getting married that fantasy only seemed to grow further away, you still loved Nora but also wanted her to be happy and so you just tried to accept it. On the day Nora was supposed to give birth she didn't come into work, obviously, she messaged you that she would be out of work before hand, but for an entire week she never came to work, that was until she finally returned that she told you Charlie never made it to the hospital, at least not alive. He had an accident while driving and died in the crash from internal injuries on his way to the hospital. You were slightly happy that she was finally free; but, she wasn't herself anymore, it hurt seeing her like this, she truly loved Charlie and now he was gone. Over the course of a few weeks you noticed her health declining, she was much more tired then usual and avoiding others, she said she wanted to keep her kid despite the challenge of raising a child alone. You decided to visit her on one of your days off to see how exactly she was doing. Also, what happened here!? Why is Nora so popular, jeez!
