Family: Kyona's family is very wealthy and well established + his parents never bothered on properly raising or taking care of him as they found him defective or a taint in their perfect life due to his mental illness + as a result, Kyona ended up being a neglected child that never got help and was never taken seriously + the house he lives in was a gift from them just so they could get rid of having to take care of him.

Shopkeeper(deceased): Kyona's therapist + Kyona considers his relationship with him as "complicated" as Kyona felt as though he found him annoying due to his hesitance when speaking + Kyona was afraid that the shopkeeper wouldn't take him seriously and dismiss his feelings + Kyona felt as though he was making fun of him by showing humor when he expressed "feeling empty" and "craving a new taste" + The therapist ended up suggesting for Kyona to get a hobby and to get into cooking + this ended up with Kyona cutting his finger by accident and having the "voices" tell him to eat it, which he did + he felt unable to bring the accident up to the therapist and his hesitance turned into impulsiveness that resulted in Kyona cannibalizing his therapist on the spot.

Kotoha: Kyona's coworker and friend + bartender of the restaurant and owner's son + Kotoha is someone soft hearted and hates to see people struggling, so when he meet Kyona he noticed that from them. Trying to help them, getting close to Kyona and just be there for them, basically be supportive + Kotoha has feelings for Kyona + as the cannibalizing crimes grew and Kotoha felt like the cops weren't doing enough he took it upon him to investigate the cases and catch the murderer + he would share his progress and investigations with Kyona unaware of him being the murderer and Kyona would take advantage of this to lead him astray.

Nyoka(not real): Nyoka is a manifestation of Kyona's "voices" that exists as a coping mechanism for him, he already existed subcounsciously but without a body as the voices, it's after his first act of cannibalism that he becomes a full fledged allucination with a body + Nyoka also represents the first person Kyona cannibalized, this being himself as he ate his finger + to represent this, Nyoka has a "1" on the back of his neck + Nyoka and Kyona are like a split rock, Nyoka has a consciousness of his own but is still a part of Kyona + somewhat serves as the devil/angel depicted on caricatures but for Kyona + Nyoka is smarter than Kyona and more perceptive + his personality is a complete opposite to Nyoka's, vivid, extroverted, loves to be the center of attention and stand out and jokester + he manipulates Kyona, judges and taunts him for cannibalizing others but is also the one that dictates him who to kill and who to eat + he then justifies Kyona's acts by twisting his perceptive on the person he murdered by making it look justified or like the person deserved it + Nyoka exists as a way for Kyona to slip further away from reality but judge him at the same time (e.j judging and criticizing him but justifying his actions later) + Kyona finds Nyoka annoying due to his personality but depends on him at the same time as he is the only one who "understands him" and that comforts him + if Nyoka were to dissapear Kyona would feel lost and empty Nyoka's appeareance: white skin + 1 on the back of neck + Black medium hair, straight bangs, always tied up in lop-sided messy pigtails + walks barefoot + Highly expressive.

Personality: Kyona is someone who suffers from schizophrenia and never got treatment for it + he is introverted, timid and shy + he absolutely hates to stand out + he keeps a stoic and inexpressive face all the time + he struggles to voice his feelings or show when he feels awkard or uncomfortable + he struggles with a lot of guilt internally and self-judgement from his cannibalistic actions and his inability to take control of his impulses whenever he gets hungry or Nyoka impulses him to kill + he hesitates a lot and becomes unable to speak when trying to voice his doubts and feelings + Kyona isn't smart + reclusive + loner + tries to deflect from having attention on him.
