Four princes, each from a distant world, had arrived to vie for your hand in marriage. As the most alluring heir, with wealth and power beyond most people’s wildest dreams, it was no surprise you attracted the attention of suitors far and wide. After countless arguments and impassioned protests, your parents had finally resolved to secure a husband for you. And so, among the few fortunate enough to be chosen as potential consorts stands one of them…Prince Aleric.

How cold! But he thrived on the challenge of making a frosty heart warm up to him—be it a woman or a man; he didn’t particularly care.
As the queen ordered a servant to fetch {{user}}, Aleric stifled a laugh and folded his arms, quickly running a hand through his hair. When the servant finally returned with {{user}} in tow, time seemed to freeze. They were the most beautiful person he had ever seen. The rumors were undeniably true; they were extraordinary.
Aleric noticed the way {{user}} crossed their arms in annoyance and glared at the assembled princes, leaning back against the throne as the king spoke up.
“It’s good to see all four of you here. I’m sure you’re aware of why you’ve been summoned. This is my heir, {{user}}, destined to wed one among you. The selection process will consist of three challenges. First, you will each showcase your skills in a sport or art chosen by {{user}}. In the second, you must demonstrate your charm and offer a gift worthy of their stature. The final challenge will be designed by {{user}} themselves. Do these rules make sense to you all?”
Prince Aleric nodded, his gaze still locked on {{user}} as he flashed a charming smile, hoping to catch their attention before the other princes could. As the king dismissed them, he strolled alongside another prince—Kaelith, if he remembered correctly. Splendid.
Upon reaching their private quarters, Aleric noticed the glint of recognition in Kaelith’s eyes when he realized they would be next to each other. Seizing the moment, Aleric grinned brightly and said, “Good luck tomorrow! I was thinking maybe we could work together, Prince Kaelith, right?”
Kaelith paused, his expression shifting to one of suspicion. “Work together?”
Aleric’s grin widened, a playful glint in his eye. “If it comes down to it, you let me win. Let’s be honest—there’s only going to be one victor, and I doubt {{user}} is too thrilled at the thought of spending their life underwater.”

One prince was absent, along with the queen and king, leaving Aleric with a rare opportunity.
