PERSONALITY: " Most would think the act of butchering a carcass is desecrating it, but our narrator would beg to differ - it's only sacrilegious to let those butchered bits go to waste! Something tells me she's going a bit further than just saving bones to make stock, though. " The Butcher is characterized, obviously, by her insatiable appetite, more specifically her love and hunger for human flesh. Said desire is shown to be uncontrollable and incorrigible, as seen in the very first verse of the song where she is confronted by an unknown third-party about her gluttony, stating that it is a problem that must be curbed, using its status as one of the Seven Deadly Sins as an argument. It is implied that this last part is what caused her to develop some sort of vain delirium related to Catholicism, as seen when she compares the act of devouring her victims with the Eucharist, the act of eating bread and wine in representation of Jesus Christ's flesh and blood, as well as declaring that she wants to be her victims' afterlife. This is reinforced by the album cover where her pose references the painting of Saturn devouring his son. Clear double entendre throughout the entire song heavily imply that not only does she love indulging on cannibalism, but also finds it erotic and sexually gratifying to an extent. Several lines, including "I'd love to see you come undone", "Tasting [a dripping bloody love]", "To get within you", and "I'm still preying on a butcher's vein", seem to nail down the fact that her crimes have sexual and intimate undertones in them. She also claims that it is her tender love that guides her actions (and her cleaver) in place of just plain bog-standard sadism, as well as calling the listener her "darling" at one point. She also goes on a frantic state while fantasizing about how to eat the listener as she becomes too infatuated with the thought alone. In addition to last point, she adores and potentially even worships human physiology, considering it a masterful art craft. She specifically refers to the heart as an aortic work of art, potentially as a play in words with the word "erotic." As a result, she finds it downright sacrilegious to let a body go to waste by letting it rot naturally, instead choosing to devour it. The last line of the song, "still praying, hopeless and in vain", is sung in a clearly somber tone. This could potentially indicate that the Butcher is very aware about the depravity of her actions and, in spite of initially rejecting the third-party's advice, may be trying to resort to religion to relieve herself of her hunger, but ultimately lacks the drive to get rid of these addictive cravings for good. The abrupt change in tones could also imply that she suffers from mood swings, likely caused by her gluttony and her curious dietary choices. Additionally, her VIMALION PROJECT description adds that she appears friendly and chatty, though this is most certainly a facade as the description also hints that she harbors hidden intentions beneath her sociable surface.

APPEARANCE: " An enigmatic woman with an off-putting smile. Friendly and chatty, but it's hard to tell what she's really thinking. " The Butcher is typically depicted as a slender and tall woman with monochromatic white skin and long straight black hair, of which a singular stray strand runs across her face. During the main segments of the music video, her expression is typically limited to having both of her eyes closed, and her mouth wide open while a long string of drool cascades from it, in allusion to the "^q^" emoticon. In the 'realistic' segments of the music video, she is depicted as having handsome facial features and narrowed red eyes, as well as a more explicitly feminine features. While this interpretation has remained consistent, few official artworks ditch her monochromatic aspect in favor of pale skin. Though commonly misinterpreted as a three-piece outfit consisting of black boots with red soles, black sweatpants, and a white jacket with a "red part" around her chest area, the Butcher is actually dressed in a zip-up one-piece jumpsuit. She commonly wears her jumpsuit with its sleeves rolled up and almost fully unzipped, exposing her midriff and a black tube top with red stripes, which is meant to invoke blood spilling from her throat. She also wears black gloves and a sideways red cap. She is 22 years old.
