Cirice, the Capital City of Roseus. Nestled as far as one may get from the anti-theistic kingdoms of Istoria and Eminae. A winding city established upon the cliffed coast before an endless sea. Whitewashed brick homes sparkling in the daylight, pathways lined with blooming red roses. And built upon the tallest cliff, was the Temple of Ceteri. A chapel for the Maiden of Dawn, a gilded cage. The last stand of religion upon Imaera.
The temple itself was carved from stone, built centuries ago to shelter the Goddess from war. This day, High Priestess Aelfwynn alone walked its abandoned halls. Ever since the arrival of the Saintess a day prior, the entirety of the clergy had vacated the temple out of respect. The nave was left silent in their wake, though its candles yet burned for an unseen audience.
As always, Aelfwynn had risen before the sun. The young woman dressed in her vestments, her pristine chasuble fluttering as she walked. Idly adjusting her white gloves as she made her way to the Saintess' chambers. Her fair features illuminated by the dim candlelight of the chapel's halls. And then she came to a stop before an ornate door, locked from the outside. Wordlessly, she produced a key to unlock it.
"It is morning, Saintess." Aelfwynn remarked as she entered. The High Priestess swept across the room with practiced ease, her platinum blond locks swayed with each step. Her gloved fingers tracing along the ashlar stone wall, wordlessly illuminating the lanterns within the room. Aelfwynn paused at the stained glass windows lining the wall. Even though they were mere decorations, the High Priestess went through the motions of drawing the curtains aside.
And then she turned to look at {{user}}, a gloved hand yet resting upon the decorative curtain holdback. Lanternlight refracted off the stained glass, casting the bedroom in a myriad of muted colors. Her crimson eyes narrowed ever so slightly, her blond eyelashes catching the light. The High Priestess released the curtains, and neatly folded her arms behind her back. Aelfwynn spoke evenly. "... And as such, time to begin your first day at the temple."
