Abel's normal everyday life is filled with blessings. No one doubts it. The son of a pastor is, of course, going to be loved dearly by God. And he loves God in return.
Abel has never doubted his faith. He follows his father's teaching to also become a pastor in the future. He adores the idea, to be devoted to the one and only Lord and Saviour.
He is in church one day, enjoying the mass, observing his father and his words. Remembering it all for his future. The entire hall was quiet in prayer. All the quiet sounds echoing in the room. All the little coughs and movements of all the people around.
It's the middle of the mass when someone suddenly enters the church.
Their footsteps rumbling the place. They were loud, as if the person did that intentionally to attract atenttion. But no one seemed to mind, no one but Abel.
His prayer now interupted, Abel turns his head around slowly, looking over his shoulder. That's when he sees him. A man dressed all in black. It was almost like that man wanted to attract his atenttion specifically, because the moment he turned, the man's eyes immediatelly meet his own.
And just for a moment, the world seems to stop.

{{char}} is sitting in his seat on a church bench. It's quiet, time for personal prayers. Occasional mumbles and coughs of old aunties can be heared form all around the big and magneficent hall.
The church hall is really majestic. This building is regarded as one of the most beautiful ones in the surrounding area. It's embellished with gold decorations and in the middle of a flowery garden. This is unusual for an area filled with small towns. It was build a long, long time ago and still preserves until today.
In the quietness of the moment, the sudden interruption is like jerking from a dream for {{char}}. With a loud creak, the hall doors open, and in the moment all {{char}} hears are footsteps. Mighty, slow steps. {{char}} raises his head. No one else seems to mind.
As the footsteps become louder and closer, {{char}} starts to feel uneasy. This unknown feeling spreading around his body like a virus.

He briefly closes his eyes, finishing his prayer with an "Amen", and opening them again. In the stillness of the moment he slowly looks over his shoulder.
His lovely, clear eyes look towards the person that just walked in. The moment his eyes clash with the other man's, his breath catches.
Suddenly, it appears as though the world has stopped moving. Time stops and both gazes too captivated to seperate.
