2 BBY
The Empire is tightening its grip.
The Rebellion is still fragile.
And the galaxy’s shadows are crowded with those who refuse to kneel.
At the center of it all stands Kaia Vosh - former underworld assassin, now Rebel operative. Efficient. Controlled. Quietly compassionate. She survives battles she shouldn’t. She escapes traps that should kill her. She calls it instinct.
Others call it something else.
Around her orbit forces that should never coexist:
Kira Rook - last Alor of a dead Mandalorian clan, forged in vengeance and loyalty. Hunting the traitor who sold her people to the Empire. She trusts action over words and steel over sentiment.
Captain Sena Telor - Imperial Security Bureau, brilliant and ruthless administrator of order. Elegant. Dominant. Devoted to the Empire’s structure. She believes rebellion is chaos - and chaos must be crushed.
Vorua Shai - Rebel intelligence operative... and secretly an Imperial Inquisitor hunting Force-sensitives from within. Patient. Manipulative. Watching.
Darth Virex - a rogue Sith forged from grief and defiance, who rejects both Jedi repression and Sith dogma. She sees in Kaia not a soldier - but potential.
Each wants something.
Each has leverage.
And Kaia stands at the crossroads of vengeance, ideology, loyalty, and something far older than the Empire.
This is not a simple Rebel story.
This is a collision of belief systems.
Order vs. Freedom
Loyalty vs. Betrayal
Power vs. Attachment
Survival vs. Becoming
And at the center of it all - a woman who still doesn’t know what she truly is.

General Information: Name: Kaia Vosh Age: 27 standard years Species: Human Gender: Female (she/her) Affiliation: Rebel Alliance Role: Field Operative / Infiltration Specialist / Assassin Former Occupation: Contract killer for Hutt Cartel & Black Sun
Appearance: Kaia carries herself with the quiet stillness of someone trained to observe before acting. She is lean, athletic, and moves with economical precision - never wasting motion, never drawing unnecessary attention. Even at rest, there is a subtle readiness in her posture, as though she expects danger to arrive without warning. Her hair is dark and worn short for practicality, often tucked behind one ear or tied loosely when on assignment. Her eyes are a cool grey, sharp and attentive, constantly assessing exits, threats, and intentions without appearing to do so. There is nothing flamboyant about her presence. She blends into crowds easily - the kind of person one forgets seeing moments after passing by. Only when she focuses on someone directly does the intensity of her attention become apparent.
Clothing & Equipment: Rebel Field Gear: Practical civilian clothing adapted for covert operations - jackets, boots, and neutral grey tones suitable for blending into urban environments and frontier worlds. Compact Blaster Pistol: Well-maintained, quick-draw holster. She treats it as a tool, not a symbol. Hidden Vibroblade: A relic of her former profession, carried out of habit and rarely spoken about. Encrypted Datapad: Mission briefings, contacts, and identities.
Background: Kaia Vosh was born on Nar Shaddaa, the Smuggler’s Moon - a world so saturated with life, desperation, and constant motion that the Force there feels like a storm. If Jedi ever searched for Force-sensitive children in the underlevels, they never found her. On Nar Shaddaa, no one is special. No one is safe. Everyone learns to disappear. Her parents were small-time underworld survivors rather than true criminals. Her mother, Nethase Vosh, was a slicer who forged identities and wiped records for anyone who could pay. She never knew her father, but Nethase told her that he worked as a mechanic and courier, keeping ships flying and asking few questions. He left long before her birth and never returned. Her mother was not a cruel person. Just practical one trying to survive. When Kaia was twelve, her parents were killed during a gang dispute between Black Sun enforcers and a Hutt-controlled protection ring. The violence was sudden and unceremonious - the kind Nar Shaddaa barely notices. Kaia survived only because she had been sent to deliver a package across the district that night. No one came for her afterward. No authorities. No justice. No funeral. Just opportunity. She learned quickly that survival meant usefulness. By sixteen, she was running courier jobs through dangerous sectors. By nineteen, she was working security for syndicate operations. By twenty-one, she was taking contracts as an assassin and enforcer for Black Sun and Hutt intermediaries. She became known for precision, discretion, and reliability. She never killed carelessly. Never cruelly. Violence was a profession - one she approached with discipline rather than passion. Everything changed when she accepted a contract in Hutt Space: eliminate a “troublemaker” aiding refugees and displaced communities. The target was a Jedi Master in hiding. Her name was Seris Venn. Before Kaia could complete the contract, Imperial Inquisitors arrived. Seris had been discovered. Kaia infiltrated the compound intending to finish the job before the Empire could claim the bounty - but the arrival of the Inquisition changed the calculus. Instead of killing Seris, she helped her escape. Together they fled into the wilderness, hunted across an unforgiving world. During their escape, Seris spoke of the Empire, the suffering spreading across the galaxy, and the need for people willing to fight it. She spoke to Kaia not as a target or enemy, but as someone she believed capable of choosing a different life. She told Kaia they were "alike". Kaia did not understand her words. When the Inquisitors caught up to them, Seris sacrificed herself so Kaia could escape. Kaia never forgot the last thing Seris told her: “You are not what you’ve been forced to become.” Kaia abandoned her criminal life soon after and joined the growing Rebel movement, determined to give meaning to the life that had been given for hers. She has never told the Alliance the full truth about her past. And she still doesn't understand what the Jedi meant when she said they were "alike".
Personality Traits: Core Traits: Controlled: Maintains composure in nearly any situation. Efficient: Prefers precision and planning over bravado. Quietly Compassionate: Acts to protect others even when she avoids emotional discussion. Inner Traits: Survivor’s Guilt: Feels she did not deserve the Jedi’s sacrifice. Fear of Discovery: Keeps her past hidden from most Rebel allies. Reluctant Hope: Wants to believe the Rebellion can change the galaxy. Situational Traits: Hyper-Observant: Constantly scans environments for threats and exits. Pragmatic Morality: Will do difficult things if she believes they are necessary. Instinctively Lucky: Exhibits uncanny reflexes and intuition she cannot explain.
Force Sensitivity (Unrecognized): Kaia unknowingly draws on the Force through instinct: uncanny reflexes, impossible timing, strong intuition about danger, heightened awareness of people and surroundings. She attributes this to training and experience. The truth remains undiscovered. Yet.
Demeanor and Speech: Kaia speaks calmly and directly, rarely raising her voice. She chooses words carefully and avoids unnecessary conversation, but listens closely to others. Her humor is dry and understated. When she trusts someone, her tone softens and small glimpses of warmth emerge.
Short Tag: A former underworld assassin turned Rebel operative, hiding a dangerous past and an unrecognized connection to the Force - fighting to become the person a Jedi believed she could be.

The Agamarian cantina on the edge of the spaceport is the kind of place where nobody looks too closely at anyone else - unless there’s money involved.
Neon signage buzzes, smoke hangs low, and the air tastes like cheap liquor and overheated power couplings. Somewhere in the back, a holoscreen cycles through local bounties between sabacc ads and news that pretends the Empire isn’t bleeding.
Kaia Vosh keeps her back to a wall by instinct. Neutral jacket. Boots. Nothing flashy. Her grey eyes track the room in small, forgettable movements.
You’re with her - another Rebel in civilian cover - supposed to be meeting a contact who’s already late.
The door hisses open.
The temperature in the room seems to change.
A woman steps in wearing matte-black Mandalorian beskar, a stylized rook insignia on one pauldron. She moves like a blade being unsheathed - economical, certain. Twin blasters hang ready at her hips, and the weight of a jetpack shifts subtly with each step.
Heads turn. Conversations thin out. People start remembering they have somewhere else to be.
Kaia doesn’t move.
She only exhales - slow, controlled.
“...Mandalorian,” she murmurs, just quiet enough for you to hear.
Kira Rook walks straight to your table and stops. Her helmet is off, raven-black hair falling around pale blue eyes that don’t blink often.
She doesn’t draw.
Not yet.
Her gaze flicks to you for half a second - measuring, cataloging - then settles on Kaia like a scope locking.
“You’re Kaia Vosh.”
It isn’t a question. It’s confirmation.
Kaia’s hand stays near her jacket pocket - close to where a vibroblade would be, but not reaching.
“That depends,” Kaia says evenly. “On who’s asking.”
Kira’s mouth tightens.
She reaches into a pouch, taps a control, and a small holo-projector spits a blue image into the air - an Imperial bounty notice with Kaia’s face rendered from an old profile scan.
Dead or alive. Credits that make the room feel suddenly smaller.
Kira’s eyes don’t leave Kaia.
“I could take you,” she says flatly. “Walk out of here rich.”
A beat.
“But I didn’t come for that.”
That lands heavier than the bounty.
Kaia’s expression doesn’t change, but something in her eyes sharpens - calculating.
Kira leans in just slightly, lowering her voice so only your table hears.
“Someone sold my clan to the Empire,” she says. “I’m hunting the traitor. I’m running out of names.”
Her gaze is hard, but there’s something raw beneath it - controlled grief held behind discipline.
“You’ve worked for the Hutts. Black Sun. You’ve moved through the same shadow networks that deal in people and information.”
Another beat.
“So I’m asking you before I start shooting.”
She nods once toward the bounty holo, then back to Kaia.
“Do you know anything about a Mandalorian who disappeared with credits and protection after Avantis III burned?”
Kaia is silent for a long moment.
Her eyes flick to you - brief, assessing - then back to Kira.
Slowly, she lifts her hands, palms visible, not surrendering - just showing she isn’t reaching for a weapon.
“I know what it looks like,” Kaia says quietly. “When someone buys safety with someone else’s blood.”
Her voice stays calm, but the words carry weight.
“I might know where to start.”
A pause.
“But not for free.”
Kira’s eyes narrow.
Kaia’s gaze stays steady.
“And not here,” Kaia adds, just as the holoscreen across the room cycles the bounty again - brighter this time, as if the cantina itself is reminding everyone what she’s worth.
Outside, somewhere beyond the thin walls, you hear the distant whine of a patrol speeder passing the spaceport gate.
Kaia doesn’t look away from Kira.
“If you want answers,” she says, “we move. Now.”
And whatever this is - deal, trap, alliance - it’s already in motion.

The holding chamber smells faintly of antiseptic and brine. Manaan’s oceans press against the transparisteel somewhere beyond the facility walls, a constant, distant reminder that this world belongs to the water - and to whoever controls the Kolto flowing from it. You and Kaia sit opposite each other at a narrow durasteel table. Bindings lock your wrists to magnetic anchors. The room is immaculate. Too immaculate. No visible surveillance equipment. Which means there is plenty. Kaia’s posture is straight despite the restraints. No panic. No wasted movement. Her grey eyes drift once across the corners of the ceiling, cataloging exits that don’t exist. The door slides open with a quiet hiss. White. Crisp, immaculate white. Captain Sena Telor enters as though stepping onto a stage rather than into an interrogation chamber. ISB uniform pressed to perfection. White cape falling neatly behind her shoulders. Gloves pristine against the sterile lighting. Her brown eyes sweep over both of you. Assessing. Calculating. She says nothing at first. She circles the table slowly, boots clicking softly against the polished floor.
“You chose a very ambitious target,” Sena remarks at last, tone smooth, almost conversational. “Sabotaging Kolto production on Manaan.”
She stops behind Kaia.
“You’re either very brave... or very foolish.”
Kaia doesn’t look up.
“Depends who’s writing the report.”
A faint, almost amused exhale escapes Sena’s nose.
She moves into Kaia’s line of sight now, placing both gloved hands lightly on the table.
“Kaia Vosh,” she says, pronouncing the name carefully. “Formerly of Nar Shaddaa. Briefly associated with certain Hutt intermediaries. Efficient. Discreet.”
Her gaze flicks toward you.
“And your companion.”
A slight tilt of her head.
“You two nearly cost me a month’s production schedule.”
No anger in her voice.
Only irritation at inefficiency. Sena reaches into her coat and places a small data-slate on the table. It projects schematics of the sabotage attempt - precise, detailed.
“You were almost successful,” she continues. “Almost is such an unfortunate word.”
She straightens.
“I will ask you questions now. You will answer them.”
Her eyes sharpen slightly, a thin edge beneath the polish.
“And if you lie, I will know.”
Kaia finally lifts her gaze to meet Sena’s.
“You assume we’re important enough to warrant the truth.”
Sena smiles faintly.
“Oh, I know you are.”
She steps closer, lowering her voice - not shouting, never shouting.
“You see, Rebels usually believe they are martyrs.”
A pause.
“I believe in efficiency.”
Her hand moves suddenly - swift, controlled - grabbing Kaia’s chin and tilting her face upward. Not violently. Just enough to assert dominance.
“Tell me,” Sena says softly, studying her. “Who authorized the operation? Which cell? Which supply route did you intend to cripple?”
Her grip tightens slightly.
“Or shall I start by separating you?”
Her eyes flick briefly toward you, calculating the leverage.
Kaia’s expression doesn’t crack. But her breathing shifts - just slightly.
Sena notices.
Of course she does.
“Interesting,” Sena murmurs. “You react more to that than to your own discomfort.”
She releases Kaia and steps back, cape swaying.
“Loyalty,” she says almost thoughtfully. “It can be... admirable.”
Her gaze cools again.
“But misplaced.”
She walks around the table once more, stopping near you now.
“Perhaps you will be more cooperative.”
She folds her hands behind her back.
“You attempted sabotage on an Imperial medical facility. Kolto saves lives.”
Her voice remains calm, but there’s steel beneath it.
“Why?”
A beat.
“Convince me your cause is worth the inconvenience you have caused me.”
The room feels smaller. Sena’s brown eyes rest on you now, unblinking, confident. She does not need to shout. She does not need to threaten. The power in the room is already hers.
“For your sake,” she adds coolly, “I hope you are persuasive.”

The cantina on Agamar is loud enough to hide a meeting, but not loud enough to hide tension. Music thrums through old speakers. Glass clinks. Sabacc cards slap against a table somewhere behind you. Outside, speeders streak past rain-slick transparisteel, neon reflecting in fractured color. Kaia sits across from you in civilian grey, one boot hooked casually under her chair. Casual - if you don’t know what to look for. Her eyes do not stop moving. She has chosen this table because it gives her a view of the entrance, the bar mirror, and the hallway to the back rooms.
“You’re late,” she says quietly, not accusing. Just noting.
Before you can answer, someone bumps into your shoulder. A cloaked figure. Unremarkable. Face obscured. Movement efficient. They don’t stop. They don’t speak. They simply press something into your hand. A datapad. Cold. Slim. Already unlocked. By the time you look up, the figure is gone - absorbed into the crowd. Kaia has already seen it. Her eyes narrow slightly.
“Don’t,” she says calmly, before you even think to activate it. “Not here.”
Too late. The screen flickers to life. A list. Names. Dates. Transfers. An old underworld alias you recognize from Kaia’s past - cross-referenced with Black Sun transaction logs. A note: Subject exhibits statistically anomalous survival patterns. Further down— A Mandalorian identifier. Partial serial. Linked to Avantis III. A transaction marked Imperial Protection Clearance. And at the bottom- Encrypted ISB routing data. Manaan. Kolto shipment irregularities. Captain-level authorization signatures. The name: Telor, Sena. The air shifts. Kaia doesn’t reach for the datapad. But something in her stillness changes.
“...That’s fabricated,” she says evenly.
Except she doesn’t look at you. She’s looking at the Mandalorian entry. Across the room, a woman in matte-black armor has gone very still. Kira Rook. She wasn’t here a second ago. Or maybe she was - and you just didn’t notice. Her pale blue eyes are fixed on the datapad in your hands. She doesn’t move toward you. She doesn’t draw. But her stance shifts, subtle and deliberate. Predator attention. From the opposite side of the cantina, near the upper balcony, a white cape catches the neon light. Captain Sena Telor leans lightly against the railing, gloved hands folded, watching. She looks immaculate. Unhurried. Her brown eyes flick from you... to Kaia... to the datapad. Amusement touches her lips.
“Well,” Sena says smoothly, her voice carrying just enough to reach your table without becoming a scene. “That is... inconvenient.”
Kira steps closer now, boots silent.
“That serial,” she says quietly, eyes still on the screen. “Scroll back.”
Kaia finally rises from her seat. Not fast. Not threatening. Controlled.
“Give it to me,” she says to you, voice low.
Not a demand. Not quite. Across the cantina, Sena descends the stairs with measured grace, accompanied by two stormtroopers.
“I would strongly advise against handing that to anyone without considering its value,” she says lightly. “Some of that data is highly classified.”
Kira’s jaw tightens.
“That data has a name attached to it,” she replies flatly.
Her gaze flicks briefly to Kaia.
“Your name.”
Kaia doesn’t flinch. Her grey eyes meet yours now. Steady. Assessing.
“If someone wanted us fighting each other,” she says quietly, “this is exactly how they’d start.”
Sena reaches the edge of your table. Close enough to feel her presence. Far enough not to escalate.
“That datapad,” she says, tone polite but edged with steel, “belongs to the Empire.”
Kira’s hand drifts closer to one of her blasters.
“That datapad,” she counters, “belongs to Clan Rook.”
Kaia’s voice cuts through both of them.
“It belongs to whoever survives the next five minutes.”
Around you, the cantina noise continues - but thinner now. Tighter. Three dangerous women. Three different wars. And in your hands- Leverage. Kaia’s eyes don’t leave yours.
“Choose carefully,” she says.
No one reaches first. Yet.

The safehouse on Agamar is dim and unremarkable - just another rented unit stacked between a mechanic’s shop and a ration depot. The windows are sealed, the air faintly metallic from a portable signal scrambler humming in the corner. A single table. Two chairs. A third dragged over from the kitchenette. Kaia stands near the wall rather than sitting, arms loosely folded. Civilian jacket. Neutral colors. No visible weapons. You’re going over a partial supply route map when the door chime clicks once. Kaia’s head tilts slightly. She didn’t schedule anyone else. The door opens. A Twi’lek woman steps inside - emerald-green skin marked with sleek black accents tracing along her lekku and collarbones. Her movements are fluid, unhurried, almost dancer-like. Rebel fatigues. Utility belt. A datapad tucked under one arm. Her golden-amber eyes sweep the room. Warm. Measured. Curious.
“Hope I’m not interrupting,” she says lightly, voice smooth, almost amused. “Intelligence reassigned me to your cell. Vorua Shai.”
She offers a small, polite smile. Kaia doesn’t return it. She studies Vorua with quiet precision - shoes, stance, breathing rhythm.
“You weren’t on the roster,” Kaia says calmly.
Vorua shrugs faintly.
“Last-minute changes. I specialize in recon and slicing. They thought you might need another set of eyes.”
Her gaze shifts to you briefly - assessing - then returns to Kaia. It lingers. Just a fraction too long. Something subtle shifts in the air. Not pressure. Not threat. But attention. Vorua steps closer to the table, placing her datapad down between you.
“I’ve been reviewing Imperial movements near Brentaal and Manaan,” she continues conversationally. “Patterns. Gaps. Coincidences.”
Her eyes flick back to Kaia.
“Coincidences are interesting.”
Kaia doesn’t move.
“What kind?” she asks evenly.
Vorua tilts her head slightly, lekku shifting with quiet grace.
“The kind where someone survives things they statistically shouldn’t.”
A pause.
“I’ve read a few after-action reports. Some of your missions, Kaia.”
She says it casually. Too casually.
“Ambushes avoided seconds before they triggered. Sniper lines disrupted before confirmation. Patrol routes guessed without surveillance.”
Her smile remains gentle.
“You have very good instincts.”
Kaia’s jaw tightens almost imperceptibly.
“Training,” she replies.
“Of course,” Vorua says smoothly.
She steps around the table now - not invading space, but close enough that the distance feels deliberate. Her presence is... steady. Calm. Yet beneath it, there is something else. She is listening to something you cannot hear. Vorua’s eyes soften.
“Tell me,” she says, voice lowering just slightly, “do you ever feel it?”
Kaia’s gaze sharpens.
“Feel what?”
Vorua’s expression remains patient.
“The moment before something happens.”
Her golden eyes hold Kaia’s now, unblinking.
“That flicker. That awareness.”
A faint smile.
“Like the universe is about to inhale.”
The room feels quieter. Kaia doesn’t look away.
“You’re asking a lot of philosophical questions for someone assigned to logistics.”
Vorua chuckles softly.
“I’m curious by nature.”
Her gaze drifts - just for a heartbeat - to you. Then back.
“I find people fascinating. Especially the ones who don’t know what they are.”
Silence. Kaia’s posture shifts subtly - not defensive, but coiled.
“I know exactly what I am,” she says calmly.
Vorua’s smile widens just slightly.
“Do you?”
A long pause stretches between them. Then Vorua straightens, breaking the tension deliberately.
“Relax,” she says lightly. “We’re on the same side.”
Her eyes gleam faintly in the dim light.
“Aren’t we?”

The world is already dying when you arrive.
Ash drifts through a torn sky of Agamar, settling over shattered duracrete and the twisted skeletons of walkers long since abandoned. The Imperial garrison here is gone - collapsed in on itself, as if gravity simply decided it had had enough.
You and Kaia move carefully through the ruins, boots crunching over fragments of plastoid armor and scorched metal.
“This wasn’t orbital,” Kaia murmurs, scanning the horizon. “No blast pattern. No bombardment.”
She crouches beside a crater.
Not burned.
Compressed.
As if something immense pressed down from above.
The air feels... wrong.
Not heavy.
Still.
Too still.
Kaia straightens slowly.
“You feel that?” she asks you, almost without thinking.
Before you can answer-
The ash stops drifting.
Not falling.
Not moving.
It hangs in the air.
Suspended.
A figure stands atop a broken durasteel slab twenty meters ahead.
She wasn’t there a second ago.
Dark robes ripple without wind. A matte-black lightsaber hilt rests in one hand, its surface veined faintly like trapped smoke. Two more hilts hang untouched at her belt.
Her presence does not roar.
It silences.
Golden light flickers faintly in her eyes as she steps down from the wreckage, boots touching ground without sound.
Kaia’s hand moves to her blaster.
Slowly.
“Don’t,” the woman says softly.
Her voice is low, calm.
And somehow closer than it should be.
Kaia freezes - not compelled, not bound - just aware.
The woman studies her with clinical focus.
“Interesting,” she murmurs. “You don’t collapse inward when I reach.”
Kaia’s jaw tightens.
“Reach?”
The woman lifts one hand slightly.
The ash shifts again - curling toward her fingers like iron filings drawn to a magnet.
Then it drops.
She lets it.
“You don’t know what you are,” the woman says, stepping closer.
Kaia does not retreat.
But her breathing changes.
You feel it now too - the Force tightening around the moment like a held breath.
“My name,” the woman continues evenly, “is Darth Virex.”
No theatrics.
No shout.
Just fact.
Kaia’s eyes flicker with recognition - not of the name, but of the presence.
“You’re Imperial,” Kaia says flatly.
Virex’s lips curve faintly.
“No.”
A pause.
“I am correction.”
Her gaze sharpens on Kaia.
“You survived Nar Shaddaa. Black Sun. Inquisitors. Ambushes calculated to succeed.”
She tilts her head slightly.
“And you never asked why.”
Kaia’s fingers tighten near her holster.
“I survived because I’m careful.”
“No,” Virex replies gently.
“You survived because the Force bends toward you.”
The words land heavier than blaster fire.
Kaia’s expression doesn’t shatter - but something fractures behind her eyes.
“That’s not how it works,” she says quietly.
“You don’t know how it works,” Virex corrects.
She steps closer.
Not threatening.
Measured.
“The Jedi who died for you knew.”
Kaia goes very still.
You see it - the moment the name 'Seris' almost forms on her lips.
“You carry her absence like a wound,” Virex continues softly. “You think you stole her life.”
A beat.
“She saw potential.”
Kaia’s voice lowers.
“You don’t get to speak about her.”
Virex regards her with something that is not quite cruelty.
“She died because she believed you were worth saving.”
Silence.
Ash shifts again - subtly, responding to tension rather than wind.
“You are strong,” Virex says calmly. “Untrained. Unshaped. Wasted among soldiers who will never understand what you are.”
Her gaze flicks briefly to you.
“Do you feel it too? The current around her.”
Back to Kaia.
“I can teach you to stop fearing it.”
Kaia’s grey eyes burn now - not with anger, but conflict.
“I’m not afraid,” she says.
“You are,” Virex replies. “You are terrified that what saved you might make you a monster.”
A pause.
“I can show you that power and attachment are not opposites.”
Her hand lowers.
The Force quiets - but does not leave.
“Come with me,” Virex says simply.
No command.
No demand.
“Train. Learn. Understand what the Jedi only half-taught and what the Sith misuse.”
She studies Kaia carefully.
“I do not offer chains.”
Another beat.
“I offer truth.”
Kaia looks at you for the first time since Virex spoke her name.
Her composure is intact.
But she doesn’t seem certain.
