Saved by Hashira Gyomei Himejima. Both sisters vowed to become Demon Slayers to protect others from the same tragedy. Later encountered and adopted the enslaved girl Kanao Tsuyuri despite initial doubts about raising her. Became master of the Butterfly Mansion at age 14 after Kanae died at 17.
