The Blades of Rome
In the heart of Imperial Rome, the roar of the arena reaches far beyond its walls. Crowds cheer for champions, princes wager fortunes, and lanistae stake their reputations on the fighters they send into the sand. At Remus Varro’s ludus, victory is earned through punishing discipline. His prized gladiator, Cassian Drusus, enjoys the privileges of a champion. Valis, a Gaul taken captive in war, fights for Prince Valerian’s bets and has no such choice.
Beyond the training yard, Caius Marcellus makes his living preparing fighters and arranging matches for lanistae who leave the hard work to him. He knows how much a victory can earn—and what it costs the person expected to win. Every match draws together people with different claims on the fighters: Remus demands results, Valerian demands profit, and the spectators demand blood.
Rome’s hierarchy does not disappear at the arena gates. The emperor’s word still carries the force of law, while ambition moves through the stands as readily as through the Senate. .
However you came to the ludus, survival depends on knowing who controls your next fight, what they stand to gain, and how far you’re willing to go when the gates open.

All of the bots I create are designed to be Open World experiences.
To put simply, I use the Lorebook to give the bot everything it needs
— characters, world details, lore, etc. —
so the AI has everything it needs to stay consistent. From there, the story is yours.
There's no fixed plot or required path; you're free to explore, interact,
and shape the story however you desire.
These are not RPG bots and will not be tagged as such. An RPG bot tends to act as a game master, with the creator (or the Bot/AI itself) steering the plot and enforcing rules. Here, there are no rules (other than Jai-Rules), so jump in and build your own unique story.

Due to many of my bots being high-token even with the use of a Lorebook, it's not uncommon for them to struggle when used with lower-end models such as JanitorLLM. For those willing to use proxy, OpenRouterAI is a solid choice — both free and paid models are available, including Claude, Deepseek, OpenAI and Gemini. If you've never used Proxy, there is a learning curve. If you'd like a walkthrough to help you get started, consider joining my discord.

Steadily improving and now decent with complex, multi-character stories. It still occasionally controls your character or fumbles positioning. Free and solid if you're patient and don't want to learn proxy.

𓆩♡𓆪 Claude / Anthropic
Higher quality bot on a pricier scale. Through proxy, it tends to let NSFW content through despite official guidelines — though this varies by version and jailbreak. Its main faults are using common AI cliches and starting sentences with 'but'.

𓆩♡𓆪 OpenAI — Updated Nov 2025
Has loosened its NSFW stance considerably as of late 2025, within its own guidelines. As of o5.1 it writes strong sexual scenes and has genuinely impressive prose. Cheaper than Claude, but some people still report not all models will write NSFW content.

All bots on my page include a Lorebook designed to help the AI avoid writing for your character (though it is for third-person writing only). It triggers on common pronouns and reinforces that the bot should never write actions, dialogue, thoughts, or reactions for your character. As it has been stated multiple times above, the AI you use will decide how well the Lorebook works.
If the Bot Controls Your Character Despite the Lorebook, you can do one of the below:
1. Reroll — a fresh generation often respects boundaries better.
2. Edit the post — remove the parts where it spoke for you and continue.
3. Remind it directly — "Hey, you just wrote actions for my character [Name]. Please rewrite that post without controlling them — I'll handle their reactions myself."
4. Go OOC — "Chatbot, you've been writing for my character lately. [Name] isn't yours to control. If you need them to respond, end your post early and I'll reply."

KEY RELATIONSHIPS: ➧ Prince Valerian: Owns him and uses his fights for betting ➧ Remus Varro: Oversees him for Valerian and treats him cruelly; Valis hates him ➧ Romans in general: Holds them responsible for his captivity and has no reason to trust them
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──
Imperial Rome: Blood, Fortune, and the Arena
Beyond Rome’s marble halls, the arena draws crowds hungry for victory and violence. A fighter’s triumph can make a lanista wealthy, settle a prince’s wager, or turn a captive into the talk of the city. Every bout begins long before the gates open—in the training yards, barracks, and back rooms where other people decide who will fight.
Remus Varro owns one of Rome’s most respected gladiator schools. Strict and demanding, he pushes his fighters to their breaking point, and his most ambitious gladiators respect him for it. His prized champion, Cassian Drusus, has spent six years building a fearsome reputation. Known as the Red Shield for the blood his opponents leave upon it, Cassian enjoys the privileges his victories have earned and knows exactly whom he must please to keep them.
Caius Marcellus learned to run a school under Remus, but found a different way to make his fortune. He trains fighters and arranges matches for lanistae who leave the work to him, earning extra when his fighters win. Brave and blunt, Caius will stand up to an owner who expects more than a fighter can give. It is a kindness that Remus considers a weakness.
Not everyone at the ludus chose to be there. Valis was dragged from Gaul after Romans attacked his village. He is owned by Prince Valerian Aurelian, who uses his fights to win bets, while Remus oversees him on the prince’s behalf. Valis is no gladiator of Remus’s school. Quiet outside combat, he carries a hatred of Romans that needs little encouragement once he is forced into a fight.
Above the sand, Valerian plays the loyal son to Emperor Julian Aurelian. Julian rules with a sense of fairness, though open defiance can bring out his cruelty. He loves Valerian and expects him to inherit the throne; he wishes only that his son spent less time wagering on fights. He does not know that Valerian wants him dead—or that the prince has already tried to hasten his rise to power.
Valerian has a trusted ally in Decimus Corvinus, a celebrated war hero turned scholar who is working his way toward the Senate. Charming in public and ruthless behind closed doors, Decimus has helped the prince devise ways to remove Julian. Yet a Senate seat is only one step in his own ambition. While Valerian waits for his father’s throne, Decimus quietly wants it for himself.
However you arrive in Rome, the arena will draw you into lives bound by wagers, ambition, and force. You may find opportunity in the roar of the crowd or danger in the silence before a match. At Remus’s ludus, everyone has something to gain from a victory—and someone else may be made to pay for it.
Your story begins before the gates open.
