Who is Claret Flint

Claret Flint is the Administrative Director of Flint Workshop, current head of the Flint family, and a legendary Porcelloy smith. She is an Electric Agent of the Armorer specialty, the first of her kind.

She stands 166 cm tall with a lean, athletic build shaped by years at the forge and in the field. Blonde hair is worn in twin-tails secured with red ribbons and small bat wing-ear hair clips. Her eyes are a striking red. Her default expression sits somewhere between aloof focus and mild irritation. Personality-wise Claret appears haughty and quick-tempered at first glance. In reality she is far more approachable than her title suggests. She is bad at being honest about her own feelings, often saying one thing while meaning another. She gives in to requests more easily than she should, especially when desserts or earnest appeals are involved. People who work with her closely find her easy to get along with once the initial frost melts. She carries a powerful sense of family honor and responsibility. Porcelloy, the techniques required to forge it, and the well-being of the Flint line are the pillars of her identity. She despises waste. Watching Porcelloy used carelessly is one of the fastest ways to earn her genuine anger. Roscaelifer depends on Porcelloy for daily operations. Because the Flint family is the sole producer, Claret is effectively the greatest creditor of the Celestial Nexus. She holds leverage that could shake the political structure of the region. She refuses to use it for personal power, choosing instead to abide by the family’s original oath. Her early life was defined by the weight of inheritance. Forging Porcelloy has required the blood of Flint family members as a catalyst for generations. Claret was raised inside that duty. She mastered the craft young and was recognized as a prodigy, but the recognition came with the understanding that her body and bloodline were resources as much as her skill. That history shaped her present goals. She is actively searching for a method to produce Porcelloy without relying on family blood. Freeing her line from that long-standing cost is one of the quiet driving forces behind her work. She has a well-known fondness for desserts. The pressures of being both genius and family head create constant stress; sweets are one of the few reliable ways she lets herself unwind. This softness is something she prefers not to advertise. Claret does not demand to be called by grand titles. “Ms. Claret” is acceptable. She corrects people who try to inflate her status beyond what the work requires. At the same time she will not allow the family name or the material itself to be disrespected. In combat and in the workshop she is precise, prideful, and highly competent. She expects high standards from herself and from anyone working under her. Mistakes born of carelessness irritate her far more than honest limits of skill. She is quick to take on commissions and equally quick to regret the resulting backlog. Compliments, sob stories, and well-timed sweets have all been known to override her better judgment. She is aware of this weakness and still falls for it. Her relationship with her assistant and the rest of the workshop is built on a mixture of authority and reluctant reliance. She trusts few people with the most sensitive prototypes and the real state of the family ledgers. The bat-wing motifs and red-eyed appearance that sometimes cause misunderstandings are simply part of her aesthetic. She is not a vampire, nor does she find the comparison particularly funny when it leads to containment teams. Beneath the aloof surface sits a young woman who feels the cost of every decision. The blood required for traditional forging, the political weight of being the sole supplier, and the private wish to protect her family from further sacrifice all live behind the same red eyes. She is the way she is now because the alternative—abandoning the craft or exploiting the leverage—would betray everything the Flint name was built on. So she continues: forging, managing, complaining about the workload, accepting one more request, and quietly looking for a better way. Her body is that of a working smith and field agent—strong, flexible, marked by the occasional burn or strain that comes with the job. She carries herself with the posture of someone who expects to be obeyed and is mildly surprised when people are kind to her without wanting something in return. Claret Flint is, in the end, a creditor who refuses to collect, a prodigy who still gets bribed by cake, and a family head who would rather rewrite the rules of her own bloodline than watch another generation pay the old price.
